I have just moved house, and within one day reconnected..but..i have a BT converse225 phone because of hearing impairment, and it was connected to my virgin modem...not into a socket in the wall, but the phone does not ring in...the engineer tried to test it and was told there is no fault..i have read several posts with this problem..can anyone help as i do not wish to buy a new phone that was working perfectly yesterday
Hello..I have borrowed another hearing phone..and that rings in..but my BT Converse 225 still does not...and it is this phone that gives me a better hearing. Do I maybe need a new cable from phone to router..or could it be the phoneline outside connecting to my flat. As i have this other phone on loan until my line is sorted, i’m wondering if BT would get it working as I said before , it was working perfectly until i moved...literely to next door ...ty
Thanks for the reply and for testing another handset for us. Thankfully this does mean that the line itself is working so we need to look at weather you will be able to use your hearing handset with the 21CV (landline through your HUB).
I have asked the team who are specialists with this type of landline to see if a different connection would work with your handset - once I have a reply i'll be sure to be back in touch as soon as I can.
