Router regularly restarting, dropping network

Hi All,

As of last week our router restarts 2-3 times during the day. I've tried factory resetting the router as well as removing and re-applying all the wires, it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

I've noticed when it happens the wired devices update from "Network  name - internet access' to "unidentified network" until it comes back up. I have a superhub 3 and have had it for about 3 years, with this week being the first instance of having any troubles with it.

The router seems to give regular "no ranging response received" error messages:

Re: Router regularly restarting, dropping network

Downstream power is too low and upstream should be 4 channels not 1 - also the power for U/S is too high!

VM Staff need to book an engineer!

Are there any outages in your area?
The most useful and up to date info comes from the 0800 561 0061 number. Try that to see if there are any faults that the web service hasn't picked up!

Re: Router regularly restarting, dropping network

No listed outages in my area but right after posting the thread my net completely went down.

Guess I gotta call VM

Re: Router regularly restarting, dropping network

It may be worth it - report it as a fault!
