I've just had vivid 350 put in. Wired connections get full speeds, but 2.4GHz devices all share around 54Mbps.
I don't mean each 2.4GHz device will get 54Mbps, that would be okay. I mean collectively all 2.4GHz devices will never go beyond 54Mbps. So i'm paying for 350 and only really getting it on a couple wired devices.
Is there anything that can be done to change this? Would a new router be able to share bandwidth better.
Are you measuring actual speeds or reading the link speed of the devices?
54Mbps is the link speed for wireless g, so check that the Hub is set to wireless N Check you are using WPA2 encryption.
Actual speeds of 54Mbps is not bad for the 2.4GHz band as mentioned it depends heavily on your wireless environment and with the popularity of wireless gadgets it is very unusual to have a wireless environment clean enough to run channel bonding.
