trying to access data services when in Portugal. International calls working, mobile account set to roaming on and APN appears to match the required settings that I have reviewed on the message boards.
Any ideas, seem to be common and may need an update on the Virgin systems. My wife's phone has the same issue.
I had an occasional similar issue in Greece recently. Could this be because the data roaming is only available on 3G at the moment? So when you are connected to a 4G network, things just do not work? I doubt you would be on 3G only areas in Portugal as the 4G coverage is pretty good. May be worth looking for a 3G network and connecting to that.
