Cancelling virgin

Hi I’m moving home and the new house doesn’t have virgin media in the area. How do I cancel?

Re: Cancelling virgin

Phone and tell them that you are moving and want to cancel your services. It will require a month notice.

Re: Cancelling virgin

I have been a virgin customer for over 20 years - joining when it was called Telewest - and I am fed up with recent channel losses, and the constant marketing shots being sent to my home offering great deals for new customers. Can I cancel the rolling contract which is in my name and open a new contract in my wife's name, at the same address, and allow her to receive all the perks offered to newbies? I am looking at changing to either Sky or BT, but really don't want the hassle involved.

Re: Cancelling virgin

Hi Mervynhancock

You can arrange to close the account and we cannot stop this but this may mean you would lose your phone number etc that is connected to your home and we cannot guarantee that you would get the new connection under your wife's name on the same day you arrange to close under your name. If we were to transfer into her name this is a Transfer of Responsibility and this is not the same thing. Your best bet is to speak to Sales about this.

Let us know how you get on.

Re: Cancelling virgin

I have tried now on 4 occasions to get through on the phone,  twice on Sat 1st to be told the systems were down and they couldn't do it and now tonight,  I was on for 40mins before virgin cut me off and now again 27 mins with no one picking up the phone.  So how exactly do I cancel my contract?
