HELP I am running around instead off virgin media

infidel
Dialled in

I am being given the run around by VM call centre regarding my landline phone re the switch off from copper to fibre. My landline cannot receive calls This has been going on since the 29th March Despite VM ringing my landline number twice during a line check. I know the problem is their system not allocating my existing landline number to my phone and there is no issue with my landline phone attached to the new router they provided. All the dial tones are correct and I can call them on 150 and anybody else. I am told there is a compensation penalty if VM fail to provide a service for a number of days can anybody tell me how to access this as it might speed up VM getting its act together I need to get past the call centre as they keep passing me around telling me I am speaking to a different department. But its the same one somewhere deep in the Philippines. Always courteous, polite helpful but not capable of resolving this issue of attaching my landline number to my phone on the VM fibre system. I would be very grateful for advice and help.        .

Hi @infidel,

Welcome back to our Community Forums and I'm sorry to hear that you're having some issues with your landline after your Home Phone Switchover was complete.

Sorry that you're not able to use your landline services! Can you confirm if you have an active dial tone at all? Can you make or receive calls?

Can you tell me how your landline is connected at the moment? We'll be more than happy to help look into this further for you if you need further help.

Thank you.

Thanks. My landline is plugged into the VM router all router lights are showing green I have dial tones and can make outside calls and speak to VM on the landline phone on 150 When I phone my own land line on a mobile its just a constant tone. VM have rung me twice on my landline it rings as normal but they cut off when I pick the receiver up I can hear them for a few seconds before they cut off. I believe its an issue with my existing landline number as the temporary number they issued with the router worked for two days beforehand.
