new email notification but cannot see email

Opened my email account online to see that the numbers next to each folder showing the amount of unread emails has changed from black to red font and despite notification on the tab that I have new emails I cannot see anything since yesterday.  Nothing from today at all.

If it works for you (which it does seem to have for others) then that would suggest that VM have made a change in the coding of the website which alters the default ‘view’ of emails.
