Increase in Spam

For the last 5-6 weeks spam on my email has been steadily been increasing. I am now at the stage that about 60% of my emails are spam.

 I have set the spam filter and it has made no difference whatsoever.

im now at the point where I might have to delete it and get another one from another provider, which will be massively inconvenient as I’ve had this email for years.

Mine exactly the same and all started roughly same time.

Obvious it's at the Virgin end something has changed , nice if they came out with what they have done as it's getting ridiculous now.

i am also having the same problem and its driving me crazy
some of the emails are quite obscene

Yes. I have also encountered a massive increase in spam over the past 6 weeks including a significant number of obscene emails that I am sure should be easy to pick up by a decent spam filter. Have Virgin Media changed their spam filter?

Read the thread I linked to immediately above your post. Much more information. But the latest report is that something has changed to reduce the flow of spam.

Yes. This is a usefeul post. I have now checked an all my spam is coming from sysprem.com. I have followed the advice and set up a filter that moves these emails to my spam folder as advised.  I shall see if this works.  But surely Virgin should be able to update their spam filter so everyone doesnt have to filter these emails themselves.

AFAICS Virgin Media's spam filters are now delivering any message containing the text string sysprem.com to the Spam folder.
