just  the other people who don't invest in a call blocker

 they are cheap and reliable - get one.

I have been using a refurb bt8500 call blocker phone for a long time now and it works well  http://ebay.eu/2rug0NL   Smiley Wink

You do have to ask Virginmedia for caller ID to be added to your phone account in order for it to work

that's what I use.  block each spam call number on 1st contact. send all caller withheld direct to answer machine ( where they never leave messages )

block all calls between midnight and 6am except for VIP list friends and family...

 no more " microsoft", no more "BT", no more " virgin media"....
