v6 scart connection

Ok it seems to be that the scart out probably doesn't work, but can anyone tell me what type of plug it is so i can have a play around anyway?

Re: v6 scart connection

Whist it been referred to by a few names, especially "mini scart", I believe the correct terminology is a SCART DIN connector.

1st result off of google images turns up...

CAB-6DINSCART.jpeg

So pretty much that. And it doesn't work, but knock yourself out. I too had to plunder.

Re: v6 scart connection

The connection is an S Video Connection.

I've just order some lead to try things out.

Based on this thread I've wasted my pennies, but I'll still give it a try.

Re: v6 scart connection

Its Not S Video at all. Its RGB + Audio on a minidin connector and the only thing you will get out of it is Audio as its wired internally directly to the minijack Audio out and thats working though not supported.

Re: v6 scart connection

Hi

With my V6 box due next week this might suit me as I currently output my tivo scart to a spare av input on my sound system so that I can listen to the radio stations without having the telly turned on.

Do you know which pins output the audio and can you confirm the exact connector type please (on line image or photo)?

TIA
