Have been with VM for over a year but also had a fttc line for gaming, thought I'd save some pennies and switch to only the VM, as I get way more speed.
I updated to gig1 and installed the hub today, speeds are there (they updated equipment in the area last year so I never expected capacity to be an issue) however the latency has always been a bit iffy.
Since gaming on the connection for a couple of weeks, at times it is impossible, latency jumping from 28ms to 140ms very regularly.
I noticed people mentioned that power levels should be 10db or lower, however mine are sitting between 18 and 22 for all the downstream channels (though no errors)
I'm wondering if this could be the cause of my jitter issues.
I don't expect to have latency as low as fttc/fttp but the jitter is crazy!
Thanks in advance, router stats below.

Downstream power is too high (DS range -6 to +10) and Upstream is too low (US range 34 to 51) I wouldn't expect power levels to affect your latency and jitter. Your FTTC uses different technology than VM's docsis and would have been better for gaming. However, this should change when VM move everyone to XGS-PON FTTP.
You will need a tech to sort this out. If you wait here a day or two a VM Mod will pick this up and discuss.

looks ok for ICMP to hub in router mode
try gaming in modem mode with a PC then look to get a router with 1Gb ports

Hi benjimoodie 👋
Thanks for posting, and a warm welcome back to the Community Forums.
I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing some issues with your service. I've reviewed things on our side, and can see that your Hub is currently out of specification, as mentioned by yourself, and Adduxi.
I'm going to send you a private message, so we can assist further. Please look out for it in the top-right, white envelope.
Thanks,

Yes you definitely need a technician’s visit to rectify. You are probably very near the street cabinet and you are actually getting too good a signal. The technician will probably move you to a different tap on the street cabinet and also possibly need to install a forward path attenuator.
