DECT phone or new phone, VM Hub 5 ?

Hi,

I have a package including landline, which I've not bothered with for 2 years. Now wanting to use it.
Can I use my (7 years old) DECT phone or do I need to buy a new one, and if so any recommendations ?
Can't see anything useful on VM main pages

Also I've seen many posts and warnings about VM landline and VM Hub 5, have the issues now been ironed out ?

Many thanks

D

You should be able to use a 7 year old DECT phone with the Hub 5.

Some models do have some issues with picking up the time correctly via caller ID (which is a VM problem, rather than a phone problem). Some Panasonic phones may be able to choose a manual time setting to mitigate against this.

You need an adapter (which VM should provide you with) to connect to the TEL1 socket on the back of the VM hub

thanks, I will dust it down and give it a try !

Hi @derek765

Welcome to the community forums

Have you had communication and been sent the adapter to complete the phone set up into the router?

If so, please give it a try and let us know if you have any issues at all.
