The Regime

'The Regime' is advertised as being on Sky Atlantic i.e. not on Virgin. However, it shows up on Sky showcase and is front page news on TV Go. Does this happen with many shows?

Sky do seem to be carrying a few Atlantic shows on Sky Showcase lately, yes.

This is about Sky Showcase being used to promote Sky's products, normally films and sports, in the hope that some will subscribe to Sky Cinema or Sky Sports. As for The Regime: Sky would like you to buy a Now Entertainment membership which gives you access to 15 channels including Sky Atlantic.

Absolutely right. Although there's definitely been a shift in recent weeks/months. Flagship US imports had previously been kept strictly on Atlantic, and never simulcast anywhere else.
