Re: Remove knowledge of old second TiVo from V6

SPR

Was a resolution produced for this?

Restart was already shown in 1st post to not fix this, other reset options were warned against (& would lose too many settings anyway to make it worthwhile)

Calling 150 a while back led to complete blank for options

Thank you for the response, but not more to add

V6 TiVo works fine, but shows another V6 that I used to have but was taken away from me

Was just looking to find a way to get my V6 to forget the other box that I no longer have

Hi @SPR

Have you tried a factory reset of the box?

Keep me posted if that doesn't fix it.

Best wishes.

No, of course I haven't!

Why would I want to lose?
  all my recordings
  all of the thumbs
  all of my wishlists
  all of my season passes

I am not factory resetting my V6 TiVo just to make it forget about a second box that got taken away from me

We'd certainly advise this would be best to do if you wish to have the box forget this second box.

Regards

Nathan

Then I would certainly file that under poor advice

Answer to the question is "no there is not a fix"

Any suggestion that breaks more than it resolves is not a fix

I will put up with it for the remainder of my contract

We are very sorry again that you are facing this issue. The reset would allow for a full refresh on the box though we understand the hesitation to do so.

We are very sorry again for the inconvenience.
