Can you get a Hub 5 with a 125mb download speed or would it not make a difference?

Been having connectivity issues, Virgin sent us out a new Hub 3.0, which is the kind we already had.

Probably not make any difference at all, maybe even worse as it uses more channels, therefore more chance of interference. Most problems like this are a circuit problem.

Hey, Harris66.
Thanks for taking the time to join our help forums and post for the first time, a warm welcome to the VM community.

We'd love to best assist with your connectivity issues and question about our hub.

This is what we can advise regarding your hub:

If you're on 125Mbps speed tier for broadband then hub 3 is our most compatible hub for this speed as it works better with speeds lower than 500Mbps.
Also, if your hub has been found at fault we'd replace this with a like-to-like hub as per our fault swap processes.
Our hubs 4 and 5 are best supporting our ultrafast speeds M500 and above, you may also have a look here for more on our hubs and their specs as well as how we upgrade those, for your reference.

About your connectivity issues mentioned, we're eager to assist if this problem is still ongoing for you.
Please, let us know if the new hub is fitted and working ok and how things look with your connected devices.
In case the issue persists we'll be happy to support you further.
