Cable

I've had 3 engineers and none of them knows where to connect the other end of the internet cable in London. One end is in my apartment. Is it normal that engineers ask the customer where to connect the cable to make the Internet work? I've been without the Internet for 2 weeks and I'm not optimistic at all when I look at Servis Virgin.

In an apartment block the engineer could be asking you to direct them to the utility / telecoms room or cupboards of your building. Ask the landlord or building manager / agent if such exists and how to gain access.

Is your apartment in a purpose-built block of flats? Sometimes there is a dedicated comm's room in the block where all of the VM wiring in the building converges. It may need connecting in there.

If that is the case, you should make some enquiries with whoever manages the building as to where that place is located.
