How to Delete email folder Virgin mail

Need to delete email folders but when I try I get the message "Could not delete folder. This can be due to insufficient permissions in your trash folder or this might be a special folder that cannot be deleted.". Can't find out how to change permissions for trash folder. Its not a special folder as far as I know

Is this occurring in webmail or an email client; if latter which?

Can you post a redacted screenshot of issue?
