Virgin TV Go App asking to register same device every time

I have Virgin TV Go App installed on my Windows 10 laptop which is already a registered device with my virgin account.

Every time I try to watch live TV through the APP it asks me to register the same device (i.e. replace a device) - I now have this same device 3 times in my list of 5.  Plus it is using up one of my 3 changes allowed every time meaning I can't now change for a month.  Upshot is I can't watch live TV.

I stress that I am using the TV Go APP - not via a browser.

Is there a fix for this as I am sure it has been experienced by others?

    I am sorry to hear you're experiencing some issues with TV GO. 

    Usually, the only time, it would result in multiple registrations and the possibility of using all of your permitted changes is if you clearing cache and cookies.

    I can reset your registered devices for you.

      I have the same problem all devices used up and now have to wait until 26th november !!

      Can you please reset my devices? This is so annoying....

      This happens to my system too, I now can't use my live tv app, how do i stop this from happening in the future,

  • I get asked to register device every time too, but it doesn't use up another slot. How do I fix that? Using the app on Galaxy S24

      Would just like to be completely clear about what your issue is here - have you run out of available slots to register the device? 

      Or are you concerned you are not being notified that a device slot is being used?

        I am also having the same issue. I've only use 2 out of the 5 devices available. But still using the same device.

    Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss people are having issues all they say we can reset device its pathetic I am one who has had this issue for 6 weeks now they have not  got a clue same old questions and answers Ive tried app and desktop same issue  and what do we get  ?? we can reset just going round in circles I wonder if we missed a bill payment they would be on to us very quickly

        Hi All, 

        We just wanted to update you to let you know that this issue is now resolved. Now that a fix has been implemented it may ask you to register your device one last time, however moving forward you should not be asked to register this again. 

        If you do experience any further issues, please let us know.

  • I don't think it is fixed. I still get the same "please register this device" when using my laptop and either Chrome or the Virgin TV Microsoft store app. Issue first raised on this forum in Sept 2023 and 9 months later it's still causing problems.

    This issue is happening to me as well. Every time I use my laptop I have to re-register it even though I use the same browser, donโ€™t clear cookies, etc.  So now I have used all my device slot changes for this month. Can you please reset this so I can register my device again? Also why would this continue to happen?
