How to get an engineer???

New build house has virgin media box etc installed. Just needs engineer to connect a cable (duct already there) from less than 10 meters away across road. I have talked to about 10 different people on the phone and on the chat. All clueless. Neighbours have virgin installed and said it was a painful experience to get them to understand. 

I just need an engineer to come around and install a cable. No one can book that though apparently. 

Ive never met a company so hard to join in my life.

Unfortunately your experience of meaningful contact with Virginmedia is quite normal. As a customer you'll have to get used to it.
