Loss of landline dial tone

paulguk1
On our wavelength

We had a power cut in our village today and now I have no dial tone on my landline. This happened a few months ago and required an engineer visit. The fault was a blown fuse in the street box.

Hi @paulguk1, thank you for your post.

We're sorry to hear about the problem you're experiencing 😔

Is the phone plugged into an extension or master telephone socket? Also, do you have any other pieces of equipment connected to your phone socket?

Regards,
Daniel

The phone is plugged into the master socket and nothing has changed since before the power cut. The last time it happened a few months ago the fuse in the box out in the street had blown.
