Hi, I cannot access my virgin mail using the gmail app. I did the password selector thing on vm site. but still wont accept it on the app. does virgin have its own app for androids? Even when typing in the secondary address as recommended it only shows mail from that email address not virgin email. very frustrating, Any help would be good. Apparently, my google  allowance is full, but pictures and videos only. does that matter?

Sorry, I've got more questions than answers but here goes:

"I did the password selector thing on vm site."

So what's the "password selector thing"?  Does that mean you have reset the password and generated a mail app password using your My Virgin Media" (MVM) account.

"but still wont accept it on the app."

You do need to generate a mail app password via your MVM account and use that as your password for your VM account in the Android app.

"does virgin have its own app for androids"

They have their Virgin Media App which allows you to manage your MVM account and they only also have their Webmail service on their website which you can access via a browser on any device. Here's the link to that: https://mail2.virginmedia.com/

"Even when typing in the secondary address as recommended it only shows mail from that email address not virgin email."

Sorry but what secondary address are you referring to there?  Do you mean the non VM email address that you specified when you reset the VM password?

I think so because if you use that non VM email address in the Gmail Android app it will just show you the emails for that non VM address - which fits with what you say about the app not showing your VM emails.

You only use that non VM address as your username when you sign into your VM email account on the VM webmail service from the link I gave above.

Just to explain, in the Gmail app settings you need to use your VM email address and the mail app password you generated on the VM website. That should give you the emails  sent and received  by your VM email account.

"Apparently, my google  allowance is full, but pictures and videos only. does that matter?

Yes it does. If you just have the free Google service, Google give you an allowance of 15GB but that covers all their Google services. So if you have 15GB of  photos and videos that means you have no room for Gmails. See these links from Googles support pages:

I hope that clarifies things a bit.
