New Hub5 - Red light flashing. Whats a wall socket?

Ive a new kit arrived today. Brand new customer to VM. Red light on hub flashing, ive now come across something about a wall socket? Never had VM before, so at a total loss as to what this means. Surely this should of been known to virgin media before sending out a so called quick start kit

  • Yeah i guessed this may of been the case, and when I scan for WiFi it appears all the neighbours have VM. But I assure you I dont have the wall socket in my flat. If I call VM will they send a technician out? Whats the usual wait for one?

      You'll need to get in touch with VM, phone them after 8.00AM.  Virgin Media’s main customer service phone number in the UK is: 0345 454 1111. explain to them that you need to be connected before you can install a home kit.

      If you’re calling from a Virgin landline, you can also dial 150 for free.

  • Installing your Virgin Media hub

    Your house or flat should already have a Virgin Media connection to the cabinet outside, before you get a self start kit, that means you should have a box on the wall inside your home to connect your kit to.
