called to deactivate number how can i check this has been actioned

Had serious issues with Virgin ever since the contract was taken out in June. Daughters number has never been able to receive calls or texts. Finally given up and asked them to cancel the airtime part of the contract but how do I know that this has been actioned without having to sit on the phone for another hour explaining the same situation. I don't want to be paying any more for a service that has never been fulfilled.

I also asked them to raise a complaint on my behalf and they were supposed to call me back by yesterday which obviously they haven't so does anyone know how to put in a complaint again without sitting on the phone again!

I've tried the whatsapp messenger but it says I have to call..
