I've just found out my Websafe setting isn't blocking any sites. I can toggle it on and off, but I can always access blacklisted sites no matter what setting.
I have tried using different browsers and accessing the setting through both the website and My Virgin Media app.
Please advise me.

Virgin Media's DNS must be used for Web Safe to work. To confirm if this is the case try the following when connected to your home network:
