Virgin media did not recognise my payment

I recently left virgin media and had a final bill to pay of £38. I used the online quick pay method in order to make the payment.

Couple of months later I get a mail saying it’s still due and it’s now gone to debt collectors - which is ridiculous.

I have the screenshot of me making the payment - reached out to virgin media and they were no help…

Not sure what I can do anymore I wasted enough time chasing this stupid thing, anyone been in a similar situation?
