Virgin media WiFi hotspots

On the VM WiFi app it gives you the option of installing a profile on your phone to access WiFi hotspots in the Uk and US. As I spend a lot of my time in the US is this a safe thing to do? Have never done it before has anyone done this

I do not know about the US, but as far as I know all the UK hotspots are being shutdown. Easy enough to find WiFi in the US I have never had a problem and I go every year for a month.
