Missing volt benefits
Hi, I’ve had vm broadband for 3 weeks and I’ve been a long time o2 mobile customer. I have received my volt double data for my mobile which was applied very quickly without issue. However, I’m awaiting the double broadband speed. Can support help with this? I did try to follow the guidance https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-o2-benefits and chose “Still waiting for volt benefits” which then goes to a broken link on o2… which wasn’t helpful. After a recent holiday my wife and I discovered that while I could use the Volt benefit O2 bolt-on Travel Inclusive Zone, she couldn't and ended up incurring a charge for using data outside the normal roaming zone. Our Virgin account is in my name because we couldn't open it as a 'joint' account when we first signed-up, many years ago. We both had Virgin mobiles which transferred to O2 in the big switchover and the Volt extras only seem to apply to my mobile. Is there any way my wife's mobile can be included for her to gain the Volt extra roaming benefit?263Views0likes1CommentVolt Benefit
Hi, Can anyone help? I have both O2 mobile and VM broadband (installed 4 weeks ago). Volt benefits applied to O2 within 3 days of VM installation. To date no volt benefits applied to VM broadband. Can anyone please help with how to activate VM Volt benefits? Thanks281Views0likes1CommentVolt Benefits
In early April this year I renewed Virgin Media contract with a bundle that includes the 500Mbps broadband package. At the same time I agreed to swap my mobile phone to O2 and looked forward to benefiting from the broadband speed and data allowance increases that the Volt scheme offered. A couple of weeks later I noticed that my package on the Virgin Media website was showing as having been increased from M350 to M500. I have never been on this broadband speed and when I questioned it, the representative I was chatting with agreed that this was a mistake and said that they would submit the necessary form to get our broadband increased to the 1Gbps speed that I was expecting. I subsequently received an email confirming that this change would be made and which noted that this could take up 14 days to come into effect. That was 15 days ago, and still nothing has changed and I have heard nothing further. As for O2, the MyO2 webpage acknowledges that I am eligible for the Volt benefits but none of them have been applied to my account nearly a month after I moved over to them. I would be very grateful if someone could sort this out for me and if I'm not posting this in the right place then I would be equally grateful to be told the proper forum for posting this in order to get a resolution.Solved1.6KViews0likes3CommentsVolt benefits not applied on VM side
Hi, A few weeks ago I logged into my mum's O2 account to unlock Volt benefits for both broadband and her sim contract. She has received confirmation of Volt benefits being applied on her sim plan with O2 and I can see them on her account but there is still no change to the VM broadband account. I can see on the account that Volt benefits show as "Not active". The addresses are the same for both accounts and the VM broadband account is under my name but I've read that this shouldn't be an issue. Hi, I was wondering if you could help me please? My son activated the sim which came as part of my Mega Volt package. Unfortunately, the data was not enough for him and he kept exceeding the monthly limit. Therefore, he decided to port his number across to a new provider. As a result, I received a text message as the Virgin Media account holder saying that because the number had been ported to a new provider, I would now lose my Volt benefits. I've tried contacting Virigin Media (via live chat) and O2 (via live chat and phone), but neither seem to be able to help me. Is there any way I can get a new O2 sim tied to my Mega Volt package (which I'd happily pay the £5 per month for) rather than losing my Volt benefits? I look forward to hearing from you.
