Action needed: We are closing your email account
Dear All, This again. Both of my virgin.net email addresses received an email informing me... "As you no longer have Virgin Media services, your Virgin Media email address will become inactive. We’ll close your Virgin Media email account in 30 days on 5 July 2025, which means you won’t be able to access your inbox after that and the contents of your account will be removed and permanently deleted." I went through this in October last year, see Email account closure | Virgin Media Community - 5575366 and Virgin.net email addresses Blocked | Virgin Media Community - 5591660 As stated above, I have been an uninterrupted virgin.net / ntlworld.com / virginmedia.com customer since January 1997. Will somebody at Virgin Media please make a formal association between my legacy virgin.net and ntlworld.com addresses and my current Virgin Media account? I am still paying a three figure sum every month for Virgin Media services I am being told I no longer have. I regained access to my virgin.net mail boxes last October by resetting their passwords and hoped this wouldn't be an issue again. Hi, This my second email issue this week. Having managed to set up my email using Outlook on a new computer, I can no longer access the @ntlworld.com address, it was working fine a few days ago. I tried access my emails this evening and it wouldn't verify the email account, even though I re-entered my app generated password that I know is right having just reset it a few days earlier This is extremely frustrating. Been NTL and then Virgin account holder for many years. Always had 2 @ntlworld.com email addresses. About 6 months ago one of the email addresses was moved to a different MyVirginMedia login. The other email address stayed with the “main” MyVirginMedia account. Virgin have now deactivated the MyVirginMedia account that was set up to administer the second ntlworld email address. I can’t now access this second email address. My main MyVirginMedia account is fine and the ntlworld email address I access via that account is fine - but I have no way of accessing the second ntlworld email address.32Views0likes1CommentI cant Contact VM
We have Virgin as our media supplier. The technology is good and the TV box is much liked by my wife and there will be grumbles if I change it with another supplier The problem is with the Admin and I have pasted part of the letter, in desperation, that I sent to an address in Sunderland that I found on the VM site. "I received an Email with an invite to see my VM services bill on the 15/05/25. Since then I have tried to do that with no success. The System doesn’t recognize my Password and trying to get a new one it doesn’t recognize my Email address. This is odd as I have had it for decades and it is used by VM. Against the Acc.No. is an Email from gmail.com which is again strange as I dont use it. What a mess it all is. Why do I need to go through this: just send me the Bill in plain text, it’s nonsense as it is. Obviously I have tried phoning all the help numbers but only ever get an AI assistant (the same one) who can’t solve the problem either. ‘She’ sends me text messages to an old dumb phone even though I have given my smart phone number several times. There seems no way that I can get to talk to a live human being. I am so weary of this situation I am considering stopping my Direct Debit; this should get a response from VM. But I will try this letter first. Once I have made contact I’m considering ceasing my contract and switching to another provider. Sky is actually cheaper anyway." I have 4 separate .com email addresses and cannot access the one my son uses. when he tries to login it says the either the email addy or password are incorrect. We know the addy is correct. So we try to reset the password and it comes up with this message “You can’t reset your password online right now, as you don’t have additional details set up on your account. The email address associated with my account is no longer active and cannot be restored. However, the VM system requires access to this old email inbox to change the account email. Currently, the only method available sends a verification link to the old address. So I wanted to change my email address on my account. Simple process really - never had issues with any other website. Until VM with their glitchy system. So it sends a verification email, which when I click on the link to verify the email, it asks me to login. So I use the new email address and my password and then the system says “email not verified” and the cycle begins. I can login via my old email still. why can’t the website allow me to verify with a code or something else. When I signed up for a new 18 month contract after spending years on the rolling contract terms, the confermation was sent to an email address that is no longer avalable to me. Could anyone help me getting the old email address removed and future mail sent to my current email address.
