Linking Virginmedia.com email address
Hello all, I've read through various posts and can't find anything that is the same situation. I have a virginmedia.com email address which I used to use to log into My Virgin Media. The email address is in use and still working fine in an email app. Last year, I was prompted to change to an external email address for log un so used Gmail as the log in. My virginmedia.com email address is still working fine through an email app. A few months ago, I set up the virginmediaO2 account when prompted. It said it would link my virginmedia.com email account but never has. The email still works fine through an email app but I can't log in through webmail. I also don't have it listed under Identity Settings. I'm really at a loss how to sort it and I'm worried that my virginmedia.com email address is floating around unattached to any account and gets shut down without warning. Any help would be gratefully received.101Views0likes7Commentshacked mobile and account virgin

Following the tie up VM/O2 my wife can no longer access her Virgin Media Web email. I spoke to the help centre who told me how to access the web email for myself which was a success, I explained my wifes email was also not accesible, however I was told to use the same process for my wife. In doing so the system wants to link and create a VM/O2 account for my wife ( I already thought she had one but who am I to question this). I try to do this but it tells me my wifes telephone is linked to another account (Mine) and requests I release it via an email link so it can be now linked to my wifes VM/O2 account which I agree to and also verify the action just taken, however nothing happens except the count down for the approval of the link switch just keeps running. I do this in the vain attempt to access my wifes web mail for her to look for messages she is not receiving but expecting. I think you need to have a masters degree in IT or be an expert in hacking to navigate the email systems now. I am slowly running out of patience can someone for VM and or O2 please help and sort this out.33Views0likes1CommentLeft Virgin 8 years ago, virginmedia.com email still working. How do I close it down?
As per the title. I left Virgin Media about 8 years ago, but today I had an email forwarded from the associated virginmedia.com address. It was from a forum I'd registered with using that address, and the forum is one that seldom sends emails. So it appears the virginmedia.com email address is still active. I'd assumed Virgin would close it and set up forwarding to my current email address, which is how the virginmedia.com address ended up with me today. Now I want to log into it to see what else has been going there, check it hasn't been hacked or anything and close it. I've set up my new 'virginmedia02' ID, but it won't let me access my email because I don't have a current Virgin account (and won't have - I'm no longer in the UK). Virgin customer service (oh, how I remember them of old...) are elusive and guarded by a phalanx of useless AI. Any thoughts on how I could check my old virginmedia.com email account? thanks.41Views0likes3CommentsDue to a "technical issue" we unfortunately did not receive your email
Why does the support constantly claim that they didn't receive the email due to technical issue? Every single time. Fun fact: I have it in writing (from someone actually capable at support) that there was no technical issue and that all of my emails have arrived. He even quoted from the oldest one. Another fun fact: The usually panic when I tell them about the proof. Sometimes they hand out credit like candy, other times they simply quit the chat without a word. So, Virgin Media, why does your support lie? Yes, it's a lie (assuming that it's not incompetency). It's basically free evidence for arbitration.Ntlworld email down
I am unable to sign into my ntlworld email. When I go to mail.virginmedia.com, it says “We'll be back soon You may be having some issues accessing your email service at the moment. Please don't reset your password. We are sorry about this. Our engineers are looking at fixing this as soon as possible.” It has been like this for a week now, the email is also not working on my already signed in devices. When will this be fixed?300Views0likes24CommentsShutting down my NTLworld email address
PLEASE CAN ONE OF THE FORUM TEAM HELP ME? I had to leave Virgin Media in May 2024 after being a loyal customer for many years. I moved to an area without Virgin (sob) so had to suffer the pain of changing my email address (sob, sob, sob....). I had been with Virgin so long that my email address was an NTL address! When I closed the account I was assured that my email would stop working after 90 days, however, here we are, some 600 days later and it still works! I don't want it any more and I want to permanently delete it...... HOW CAN I GET THIS TO HAPPEN? Thank you in advance68Views0likes2CommentsBlueyonder emails no longer working

Because I have a chronic age-related memory problem, I need to read guidance on a number of really basic questions about setting up email accounts on my broadband service. Where do I find this guidance? For starters: is there now such a thing as an email account with Virgin Media? If there is, is it provided and managed by Google as a gmail account? Is such an account a POP3 (I think that is the correct designation) account such that I could access it with the Thunderbird email client on my PC? If so, where do I find VM details that I would need to enter into Thunderbird? I used to have Thunderbird setup this way a few years ago before I switched to another broadband provider. How could I find out if any of those previous email addresses/accounts (virginmedia.com and ntlworld.com) still exist? Pointers to answers would be greatly appreciated.106Views0likes2Comments
