Resetting Password or recovery email address on secondary account
We have been trying to reset the password on my son’s @ntlworld.com account very unsuccessfully. We have tried the “verify another way” and the verification email is one that we don’t recognise and therefore have no access to. Having spent over an hour on the phone again today being passed around various departments there still seems to be no one that can correct what could be a fraudulent verification email in an attempt to block my son’s access to his email! We have tried recovery codes and they haven’t worked, it has been escalated (again) to the “IT Department” Has anyone else got any suggestions??21Views0likes1CommentHow do I access/manage email aliases?
It would be nice if VirginMedia/O2 issued clear instructions regarding VM/O2 Identity creation for management of email aliases. At the moment, I have successfully created a VM/O2 ID for my primary account, I can log in OK and access/manage the primary email account. I also have several aliases, which at the moment are all able to receive and send emails via my PC and mobile clients. However there seems to be no way to be able to manage these additional aliases via the primary account, which used to be the case before VM/O2 decided to wind up the email service. My email aliases have multiple uses all over the web, (logins, registrations etc) and losing them and having to substitute "third party addresses" would be a nightmare! I have read alsewhere that a separate VM/O2 ID needs to be created for each alias. So, my questions are 1 ) If it aint broke, should I fix it? (In other words, since everything is working OK just now, do I need to create VM/O2 IDs for each alias?). More importantly, will the alias email addresses remain the same if I do?) 2) If YES, how do I do this safely without screwing up my primary login and/or all the aliases!! Clear instructions please! 3) If NO, (which seems to be the case since everything works (for now), how long have I got before I am forced to create these ID thingys (which seem totally unnecessary to me) Kind Regards Dave NashSolved53Views0likes5CommentsDeliberately delayed access to email accounts??!

My daughter can no longer access her blueyonder email account. She can remember her password and the recovery email doesn't appear to be hers. I am the Virgin Media account holder and have been for more than 30 years. Would appreciate some advice on how she can view her emails. Many thanks.79Views0likes11CommentsCan’t enter a “valid” email address on sign in
When I try to sign in to my Virgin Media account with my email address I get an error message saying, “Please enter a valid email address”. If I use the “Forgot your email address” tool then the email address it displays is the one that you’re telling me isn’t valid! So now I can’t access my account. What am I supposed to do? PS. Can’t search for tags on Safari mobile, and Safari desktop displays the message, “Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access url”, which is why I’m using mobile. Is anybody at VM actually checking that these things actually work?520Views0likes29CommentsCan't login to VM account to access email

On 28th July 25, I reported that my secondary email ac was not accessible causing huge difficulties (work email for my wife). Also other priority issues it took me literally hours to get Virgin to accept the problem - I was shunted from operator to operator, from country to country. I finally got through to someone who accepted that this problem was affecting all customers. He gave me a service request number and promised to rectify within 3-5 days. He would not put it in writing. So I filed a complaint and was told that they would respond within 28 days ! When I rang after the promised time to get an update, again I was shunted from operator to operator to operator. They tried to get me to try remedies that I knew do not work. Finally I spoke to an operator who understood my service reference, he promised to write and confirm that problem will be fixed within 3 to 5 days but he never did. Disgraceful. First priority is resolution. Then we need to work together to file a substantial claim for all the consequences and loss. If we approach as individuals, we will have a difficult time86Views0likes3CommentsIP Address Blacklisted
One of our email accounts has not been receiving email since Friday. So we went in and reset the password and tried signing back into the client on the iPad. This kept failing and now no one can receive emails because our IP is now blacklisted. How do we go about removing this blacklist? It was on Spamhaus that it reported that it has been blacklisted.47Views0likes1Comment"it appears that some information that we need to process your order was missing."
Hi, I got the below email this morning from VirginMediaWebsales@virginmedia.co.uk, do not call this included number . ----------- Hi there, Thanks for contacting Virgin Media about getting some of our services. It's great to hear you're thinking of joining us! We'd like to talk to you to as it appears that some information that we need to process your order was missing. This will help us take the next steps towards getting signed up, so just call our team on 0845 650 4500. As we need to look further into the details of your order before we can go ahead with your install, any pre-payment that you have made online will not be processed until your install date has been confirmed. We're looking forward to hearing from you! Kind regards, The Virgin Media team ----------- I will note that although I have not publicly posted it, the email did include my online order reference number that was attached to the contract documents I received when I changed my package, so I have reason to believe the email is legit, and not a scam designed to get people to phone a premium number. When calling the number I get an automated message to advise that the number is no longer in use, and to contact o2 or VM (depending on who you are calling for) so I hung up. Get a text from my mobile provider that I have been charged for the call (its not included in my minutes) and have been deducted 40p. If this is a legit email, and virgin are giving out a dead premium number people are still being charged £0.40 per minute to call that need to be addressed. Can a VM associate have a quick look over the notes on my account as see if there is any reason Virgin Media is asking me to contact them. Many Thanks.44Views0likes1Comment
