Can’t enter a “valid” email address on sign in
When I try to sign in to my Virgin Media account with my email address I get an error message saying, “Please enter a valid email address”. If I use the “Forgot your email address” tool then the email address it displays is the one that you’re telling me isn’t valid! So now I can’t access my account. What am I supposed to do? PS. Can’t search for tags on Safari mobile, and Safari desktop displays the message, “Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access url”, which is why I’m using mobile. Is anybody at VM actually checking that these things actually work?1.3KViews0likes65CommentsFather with Dementia
Hi. I'm trying to change my father's email address and Password to a new one we can use to manage his account going forward as he has Dementia. When I arrive at the 'link accounts' screen to Register for online services so we can manage his Virgin Media, it finally shows his old (over 10 years old) Blueyonder email address which A. We can't access and B. We don't know his password for. So we can't then change ANYTHING on his account. ALL we want to do is - Set up a new password and email address on his Virgin account. Delete his old email address completely. Register his account online so we can amend his package (what's insane is we want to probably ADD to it, and Virgin are making it almost impossible). Can someone PLEASE help us, as we have tried online and the customer service is appalling, they said 'we've changed the email address' twice now and it's STILL coming up with his old Blueyonder email he must have used years ago to sign up. We are pretty desperate trying to sort things for him and dealing with Virgin is beyond difficult. How can I add all my blueyonder email accounts to My Virgin Media account? Currently, I have to sign in to My Virgin Media with a GMAIL email address? But only one of my blueyonder email accounts is shown on there. I have to log into https://mail.virginmedia.com/appsuite/ to collect another of my blueyonder email accounts messages. How can I add all 3 of my blueyonder email accounts either to My Virgin Media (where my bills are) or to https://mail.virginmedia.com/appsuite/ ?Solved99Views0likes6CommentsStill can't change manage my account.
This is getting beyond a joke now. After, a recent problem where a VM agent regenerated my access code and I was hacked, also allowing the hacker to clone my phone. You would say that one of the first things to do is change your email password. BUT, since VM introduced this new VM02 ID system, when you try to manage your account - it crashes. It was suggested that I call VM and they can change the password - but it turns out that is only the VMO2 password they can change not your email password. Changing your password is a basic function so why is it so complicated to allow people to do it!!!!109Views0likes15CommentsSecondary email password reset
Like others I've lost webmail access a secondary email address from ntlworld days during the swap-to-notntl-then-swap-back gyrations. I've read other threads and know what I need to do - creating a new VMO2 account linking to the original email address - but it appears I have the wrong password recorded or the account has got locked out. The online pw reset won't work for me as I had no secret info set against the secondary account. Could someone from the mail team DM me please so we can get this reset and access restored? I still have pop3 access to the account so this should be pretty straightforward. Not urgent :) Thanks! Mike57Views0likes2CommentsWrong Email on Sign-Up
Hoping someone can help.. Used the wrong email address on sign-up & to order wifi box which is due to arrive today. But no confirmation email/tracking info worried the package may have been diverted without my knowledge if they tried delivering when no one was in. Please could someone advise. I joined Virgin Media for broadband in September but I have never recieved a welcome email or letter, nor have I received a bill. This means I do not have an account number so I cannot call customer services (since they require the account number to pass the security check). I have checked my junk email and all possible email addresses but I have recieved nothing. I do not have any emails from Virgin, but I do have my pre-contract documents via text message. How can I get an account number to access my bills/app/settings?Issues with Subsidiary Email Account and O2 ID
Hello. I'm having trouble accessing my email address in a situation similarly but not entirely like what happened in the post by UsingBlueyonder. I have a subsidiary email address. It's linked to my father's Virgin Media account. My subsidiary email address was made years ago, back when they ended with ntlworld. I've had on-and-off issues with accessing it for years, but each time, they get temporarily resolved. I had one of these issues back around April. It was solved through a series of phone calls resulting in my subsidiary ntlworld email address becoming accessible through logging into Virgin Media with a Gmail account and the associated Gmail password. In June, Virgin Media sent me an email saying that they were going to change how I log in. They said to use my Virgin Media email address and my current password. I've now been forcibly logged out of Virgin Media and requested to make an O2 ID. I tried my ntlworld address and my Gmail password and it didn't work. I tried my Gmail address and Gmail password and it sent me to make an O2 ID. During this, it requested the account information - account number, location, and surname - of our Virgin Media account. I filled this in, and it has located an email associated with this Virgin Media account that is not the one I was trying to log in with - namely, my father's email address, which is the primary address I mentioned previously. At this point, hopefully like in the post linked above, it has asked me something about a transfer. Please, could somebody explain to me as if I am incredibly poor at understanding things, how to proceed? Does it seem as if I am following these instructions correctly? Or am I about to make a random O2 ID and link it to our Virgin Media account, leaving my subsidiary email address in a state of continued inaccessibility? Do I proceed with this ominous "transfer"? Will this somehow combine mine and my father's email addresses into one franken address that ruins both of our lives simultaneously? Is this "transfer" what the OP of the post I linked did, which seemed to work, or did they do something else which I have been unable to isolate in the instructions given to them? I am sorry for the novel length question. I am beside myself with misery and am due for an important email within 24 hours. Thanks in advance for any help.189Views0likes10CommentsPasswords for my other NTLWorld email accounts
Back in the old days I could log into my Virgin Account and create and manage the other email accounts I had created for my wife and son. Now that facility has gone. My wife has changed her phone and I can not get the password for her email address to set up on the phone's email client. I am totally confused by the new process as it seems I now have to create a new Virgin ID for each of the other other email accounts. Do I create a Virgin account using the original NTLworld email address my wife has or do I create it using her outlook.com email address and then how do I link it to the NTLworld email so we can retrieve a password for it. I have tried to use the webchat to find out and the agents were the worse customer service agents I have ever dealt with. I work in IT providing support to users and if I ever acted like they have I would have lost my job. Can anyone help me?Solved80Views0likes1Comment
