Email updating
When I signed up for a new 18 month contract after spending years on the rolling contract terms, the confermation was sent to an email address that is no longer avalable to me. Could anyone help me getting the old email address removed and future mail sent to my current email address.Cannot find email on website
I was waiting on a verification code being sent to my ntlworld email address which I use for security backup. When I went on the Virgin Media website and clicked on the sign in to email from the menu it sent me to a help page for how to access email accounts but didnt let me get to my inbox. I eventually gave up but had missed the 5 minute active slot for the code. Then I remembered that I can access it through my outlook account so I had to log into there and got them to send another code. I wonder if someone from tech support could look into this issue as I would prefer to open my emails either from the virgin media website or maybe even from the virgin media app on my phone!37Views0likes2CommentsEmail verification not working from email change
I have changed over to a new email provider and wanted to change on Myvirgin to the new email. Everything ok, changed email and then just needed an email verification, sent the link and clicked it once received. When I tried to log in it said i needed to verify email, even though that was what i had just done.. Takes about 3-5 business days to receive the email and just goes in circles. Can someone please help?45Views0likes3CommentsNTL World Email Password Reset
Hello, I am trying to help my mum out resetting her email password - she has continued to use her original @ntlworld.com email from way back and has only ever had access to this email address through the Apple Mail app on her iPhone. Unfortunately, there was some kind of error in the Apple Mail app and she was signed out. She has attempted to sign back in but is unable to do so as she has forgotten her password for her email address. I have tried to access her mailbox through the Virgin Media online portal but this was met with an error message saying that her emails cannot be displayed. She has a number of very important emails that she quickly needs to gain access to - She does not have a linked/related virgin media email account and has no other email accounts. This email address is also the one she has used to sign up to everything in her life (banking, subscriptions etc), so not having access is a major issue/headache for her. My question is, how do I go about recovering her email NTL World email account? I am reluctant to do anything until I have the process confirmed because I’m nervous about somehow permanently locking her out of her NTL World account (I’m aware that VM stopped supporting NTL World email addresses or something?). Any help would be enormously appreciated. She’s older and not tech savvy, so this has left her in a bit of a state as she’s about to go on holiday for 3 months (she’s retired) and almost all of her bookings, hotels and travel details were made using her NTL World email account which she can’t access now.4.2KViews0likes8Comments3rd Party Email Clients
Forgive me, but I posted this question to a different group, and I'm afraid the few answers I was given, habe left me even more perplexed. Hope you don't mind if I try here, issue as follows. Has anyone managed to solve the 3rd party email issue, as a result of virgin e-mail's security upgrade some weeks ago. Webmail works, I think I tested Outlook too, but I've been with Thunderbird for years. Would like to be able to continue doing so, but constantly been getting the password error (You know how frustrating it is if you've experienced it). The solution has something to do with Google App, but cant remember the rest of it. Tech support have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, no surprise there, doesn't appear on their onscreen instructions obviously. Outside their remit, perhaps, in other words, not their fault. But there has to be a permanent fix, at least I hope there is?? Thank you group.42Views0likes1CommentRandomly signed out of webmail and unable to log back in again.
I need to know please - is anyone else having the following problem as well? On my computer I am unable to access my emails via the VM website. I change my PW and it works for a while. Then, randomly, after a week or so, for no reason my end, I am signed out and the only way I can access my email is to change my PW again. This has been going on for months now yet there seems to be no recognition by Virgin that there is a problem. I am convinced it can't be just me. Interestingly I can still get my email on my phone. It doesn't even ask me for the new PW. Please, insightful people, can you help? Thanks in advance (It's a blueyonder email address but I've changed the domain to gmail, as instructed).1.1KViews0likes11CommentsUnable to access my virgin media app to see my account and make changes
I have had to cancel my Virgin Media account before services were provisioned, due to delivery delays. Via a Virgin Media sales representative doing door to door sales since Virgin Media became available in my area, I have registered with Virgin Media again via him. As the new and old VM account created are using the same email address, I'm now unable to login to my new Virgin Media account, nor can I change the email address associated with my old one. Really frustrating, I'm unable to see when the installation will take place or order additional services.229Views1like17Commentscan’t make an account
When I set up my contract I never received an email or an account number or area reference. I then later recieved a text message from virgin telling me that my email address no longer existed so i had to register but I cannot make one due to having no account number or area reference. After about 30 mins on the phone about a month ago I managed to get through to an actual human and I explained my situation and was told that a letter would be sent to my address with a code to be able to set up my account over the phone. I still have not received this eventhough I was told i would receive the letter within a week. Also, my direct debit is no longer working to pay so I now have to make payments over the phone and I have to pay £7 more each time as they give me a late fee. I am so unhappy with my experience that has been ongoing for months.
