VIRGIN ON THE RIDICULOUS
What on earth ARE you doing VIRGIN? Your EMail system is in total disarray! We have three laptops, all up to date on Windows 11 and all using Outlook to access. Each one is now suddenly treating the connection very differently! Only one is now working to a virginmedia mail address, so forget it being only a legacy address issue. That one also still currently works to a very busy ntlworld address used for Freeware user contact. The other two have totally differing actions from the same virginmedia address, one now telling me there is unread mail, but not displaying it on Outlook OR online web access. This does not include one ntlworld connection severed without warning a year ago now, Despite numerous requests, NO help given, NOTHING offered. This was my wife's account used for extensive volunteer work, inc elderly and disabled people access. Killed stone dead without warning. It took months to get an alternative EMail system working elsewhere as many mail recipients just could not cope with the no warning sudden loss of all comms. SO, from other posts here and elsewhere numerous people are increasingly experiencing this sort of disaster from VIRGIN. Well, there IS a next stage if this unhelpful lack of action continues, and that is to go VERY public. We left Virgin media a very long time ago and my email is still active. I've been informed that that email address has been compromised and various accounts that are still registered to that email address have been compromised also and I need the email address deleting to stop any further issues. Dear Virgin Media This morning, Monday 3th November 2025, I received an email from payments@notifications.virginmedia.co.uk stating that there is an outstanding balance on my broadband account. The email states that this could be because I missed a payment due date or there was a problem taking your payment. To be clear, I have not missed a payment. After logging into my Virgin Media account, I confirmed that my next payment date is Wednesday 5th November 2025 and there is no outstanding payment from my last bill. The direct debit for that bill was taken on Monday 6th October 2025. As you can imagine, I am concerned and confused by this notification. My direct debit details are correct in my Virgin Media account, so I do not plan to make an early payment and will allow my direct debit to take payment as scheduled on Wednesday 5th November 2025. Please explain why I received an outstanding payment request when my balance is clear and confirm that I will not incur any late fees as a result of a payment request issued before my scheduled direct debit. I have 3 devices (one Windows desktop, one iPad and an iphone) all accessing the same virgin.net email account. For the past week I have been unable to access my email account on my iPhone. The message i get is 'Password Incorrect'. I am able to access mail on my desktop and iPad. Any ideas please. I've tried in vain to talk or get help from Virgin Media who appear to have washed their hands of any email issues. I have an active Virgin Media account (I'm a broadband customer), and for years have had four @blueyonder.co.uk email addresses used by myself and three other family members associated with that account. All four accounts are regularly used. After the transition to VMO2, I've linked my new VMO2 ID to my Virgin Media account. I'm able to manage my (the primary) @blueyonder.co.uk email account app password through https://www.virginmediao2.co.uk/identity/id-settings/my-accounts using ID Settings->Virgin Media Account->Manage email app password. However, I can't see any way to manage the @blueyonder.co.uk email accounts used by my other family members (e.g. to change the app password). Some of those family members have their own VMO2 IDs (because they're O2 mobile customers), but unless I'm wrong it doesn't seem possible to link those IDs to the single common household Virgin Media account which I manage, and hence there seems no way for those members to manage their own @blueyonder.co.uk app password. As with the many, many other reports on here, I cannot access my ntlworld email account via outlook, iphone. I can still get in for now via a browser. This is 100% a VM created problem - unless you're suggesting hundreds of unconnected people around the country all getting the same problem at the same time is a coincidence? Hi on Friday 17th October I received an email telling me that my Netflix email has been changed even though I didn't authorise this, obviously I was very concerned and was wondering how this was possible, I reset my Virgin email password and went onto Netflix to see how this happened and how I could change it back, I was told I need to get a service code on my account to change it back however I was only logged in on my two Virgin 360 boxes and the service code that was showing Netflix told me it was wrong, so I asked Virgin and they said they don't know anything about the service code, now I know people will say you need to speak to Netflix but I have and they just tell me it's Virgin I need to speak to and they can't do anything about this, like a lot of people the account language has now changed to Spanish and despite multiple calls and live chats none of the agents at Virgin seem to understand I'm telling them that a new Netflix account needs to be set up with my email and the old account deleted as the email has been changed on that account and somebody else is using it but they seem to think I just can't log back in and keep telling me to log in with my email but obviously because there's no account linked to my email it's coming up as no account linked to this address, is there anybody here who knows how I can fix this or speak to someone who can help me fix this as it's been going on for so long and every time they call or I speak on live chat I can tell they don't want to deal with the problem and keep passing me from person to person asking me to try things to fix it that I know full well won't work.132Views0likes7CommentsTemporarily blacklisted IP Address
My Ntlworld email stopped arriving. At the same time my wife's email stopped. Both said that the passwords were invalid. We changed our passwords - my wife had to move to a VMo2 ID. We generated APP passwords and put them in - no change. I rang help desk in India - they said that the problem is that they do not support NTLWORLD addresses any more. I said that was amazing and asked for it to be escalated. The assistant arranged for me to to be called by his supervisor the following day (Sunday) at 9 to 9:30. Then I noticed on my Macbook i had a different message - Temporary blacklisted IP Address. I checked on this forum and found that I could access my mail by using my iPhone as a hotspot and it worked. I could also access the email via the browser. No supervisor rang between 9 and 9:30, so I rang at 10, to find it hasn't been escalated. I was asked to clear browser cache/ reboot the router etc. etc. I then asked to be escalated to their supervisor, who again said they could not help as support has been dropped for NTLWORLD Addresses. He said they had been told that the domain had been turned off and this means that no emails will get through any more. I filled in a security report and forwarded it to the VM security team. I want to know what the "suspicious activity" was and asked that they lift the blacklist. Ok, what's changed guys and what are we expected to do to resolve it or are you rolling back your change since its broken everything ? I have multiple email accounts (@blueyonder.co.uk) and they are all no longer working, not only that but i can't log onto your portal. My entire life uses these email addresses and is going to be a major, if possible at all, task to get myself sorted out with other email accounts, really not viable at all. I have been with you guys since telewest, so a very very long time. Can somebody get back to me asap please with a fix, explanation of this change and also why i wasn't even aware of something so drastic it warrantied a letter in advance.
