Received a phone call from this number shortly after signing up online for virgin broadband & TV.
The guy on the phone knew all my details and package i'd bought as well as installation date.
He asked me to go through it all again to check if it was correct and as I say he knew every detail so trusted it was virgin, gave out my sort code and account number.
He sent me emails that were virgin emails with my documents attached as well as texting them through too, so I had no reason to believe he wasn't legitimate.
Looked online now and everybody's saying it's a scam number and to be aware.
I'm confused as to how he knew all my details and even sent me legitimate emails if this is a scam.
Spoke with virgin who told me after about 40 mins of being on the phone that they didn't recognise the number so I don't know what to think. Can anybody advise me please?
