Jitter making things unmanagable

Anyone know the best way to get VM to look at my area and my connection specifically. Jitter is causing mayhem here in the KA11 area, It has been for a while, and its annoying the hell out of me, everything buffers even on ethernet!

To help your cause post some stats showing the Jitter issue.

For a Hub in Router mode...

Once the test begins click on: Run full test to see all the stats inc Jitter / Latency / Packet Loss etc.

For a Hub in Router or Modem mode...

Local Service Fault

Check for a fault affecting your street via : 0800 561 0061 - it is an automated service.

HUB Signal Level Checks

Via http://192.168.0.1/ connect to the Hub in Router mode, do not login in, scroll down to "Check router status"     Use http://192.168.100.1/ for a Hub in Modem mode

Using the Hub's "Check router status" tabs check the Downstream and Upstream power levels are in spec.

Downstream Power Levels of -7 to +7 dBmV are preferred, +10dBmV is the max acceptable, with a SNR of 33dB or higher across all DOCSIS 3.0 channels. Rising error counts across many channels is a current service noise fault.

Upstream
Power Levels of 35 to 49 dBmV are preferred, with QAM 64 Modulation mode across all four to six DOCSIS 3.0 channels.  Seeing QAM 32/16 is a current service noise fault.

Here is the output of the down and up stream

These figures do not report jitter, but they may hint at the root cause.

The 3.0 Downstream signal levels are above +10 dBmV maximum for normal reliable service.

The 3.1 Downstream channel has logged over 1.6 billion errors.

So what do I do about this?

BQM reports Latency not Jitter.
