I’ve just returned from a holiday and has switched the router off to give it a good long test. Now the white light is on and showing wi-fi is available but there’s no connection. I had a couple of texts from Virgin while I was away to say some work had been done & finished in my area. It doesn’t seem to have worked. What is going on please?

See this...
First thing is to check for any “known network faults - Try in 2 places
1) Try the “check service,”Area status webpage (https://www.virginmedia.com/help/service-status)
2) Then also Try the “free & automated” Service Status number - 0800 561 0061 - which usually gives the most up to date info. and tells you of more local issues and fix estimates, down to street cab/ postcode level.

Thanks John. Phone is indeed more helpful than the site!
