Landline incoming calls

Good afternoon

We are having problems with our landline.  Incoming calls are cut off after a few rings, but ongoing calls seem to work OK.

Any thoughts?

Seems to be all calls - landline and mobile

Thank you for confirming this, have you checked our Service Status to see if there are any known area faults which may be causing this?

No issues flagged up & I've checked the socket etc.  We've been hearing crackling on the line recently too.  Could this be part of the same problem?

Hi Tony,

Have you tried a different phone, if still using the old wall socket can you remove everything including any extensions, filter and try a different handset?

Just checked with a corded phone and all is OK.  Reconnected the cordless phone and that is OK too now.  Weird!
