I'm on a heavily discounted Ultimate Volt Bundle. My promotions & discounts end on 9th August. My latest bill is dated 30th July 2024 (money to be debited from my bank account on 15th August). But the promotions & discounts have dramatically reduced. This amounted to £104 in my June bill, but is now only £43.27 in the 30th July bill. Why? 30th July is before 9th August - all promotions and discounts should still apply. I have no intention of keeping the Ultimate Volt Bundle once my promotions & discounts end on 9th August. So on 22nd July I requested closure of my O2 account - disconnection is scheduled for 22nd August. Is this the reason Virgin Media have reduced my promotions & discounts? How else am I supposed to cancel my Ultimate Volt Bundle? This is disgraceful behaviour from Virgin Media and I demand a refund to reconcile the reduced promotions & discounts. As it seems the cheapest package Virgin can offer me once I end my Ultimate Volt Bundle is about £70 a month, I am now a mere phone call away from joining Sky. Your move, Virgin.594Views0likes3CommentsLeaving Virgin
Had enough of Virgin and have decided to leave. One question: is it best to get internet set up with another provider first (I'm planning to move to Sky), and then formally notify Virgin OR tell Virgin I'm leaving in 30 days, and get Sky to connect up before the 30 days? Any advice welcome, thanks.Solved1.4KViews0likes4CommentsSky Customers Unable to Call Virgin Media VOIP
Fellow VM customers, Since November friends and family with Sky mobiles (or landlines) have been unable to call my VM VOIP line. (The telephone is connected to our VM hub). Making calls is no problem. It appears that numbers from other phone providers can get through, so it seems to affect only Sky numbers. When they call they hear an error message: "Sorry, that number does not exist." VM sent an engineer out and he confirmed all our internal equipment (hub, phone and line) is fine, so suggested it must be an external issue. Sure enough, he consulted his issue-checker, and noted that there was an outage in the area. I see from Sky forums that Sky customers are reporting problems between the two networks. I even spoke to a Sky technician who seemed knowledgeable and friendly, but Sky place the issue firmly in Virgin Media's corner. Virgin Media telephone support (stop laughing) acknowledge there's an outage in the area, but that's all they know and that's all they ever say. The field technicians have set 4 dates to fix it and failed 4 times. Each time they set themselves a new date and try again. They have a set a 5th resolution date of 3rd Jan. There may be an outage, but in over 2 months VM can't actually confirm if that outage is responsible for this specific issue. So, we may be waiting for VM to fix a problem, not the problem. Faulty hardware and wiring can account for degradation of service across the board, but this isn't across the board, it's specific to Sky numbers, so it seems more of a config issue. So, if you're experiencing the issue, please comment. If you have insights that may help, please also feel free to comment. (VM Mods, if all you can do is confirm there's an outage and repeat the next resolution date, please save your energy.) Thanks all.Solved3.4KViews0likes21CommentsAdding to TV package
I was wanting to add sky cinema to my package as there’s a deal to add it for £8 a month. I currently pay £51.50 a month so that would make my payment £59.50. however, when I go to add it, it says from month 12 my monthly payment will be £105. is that right? I don’t want to add it if it’s going to double my monthly costs after a year, seems ludicrous.703Views0likes3Comments
