V6 not recording during standby
I have recently had my V6 TV box upgraded via software to 360 and have also received a new remote. In the settings there is a standby mode with timings of 4,5,6 & 24hrs before the box will switch off if idle and hasn't detected any active device connected to it. This creates a problem if I want to set to record programmes further ahead of 24hrs as when I am away the box will switch off and will therefore not record the set programmes. There is no setting I can find to switch off standby mode. I recently changed the standby timer from 4 to 24hrs as I found the box switched off when idle and did not record any scheduled programmes. Switching to 24hrs has made no difference other than keep the box awake longer so increasing the possibility of detecting a signal from my TV when it is switched on. This is particularly irritating in that if I am away for more than 24hrs there is no certainty that any scheduled recordings will proceed. My tv has a standby mode which can be disabled why has this new 'improved' Virgin box not have the same facility. My current standby settings are active start, 24hrs. My 360 box is Arris-DCX960-MPA+. Hi, The scroll buttons & a few others have stopped working on my remote. I called 150 which directed me to the website to order a new one. The webpage then told me it was unable to order one. I then asked the Virtual Assistant, who directed me to another webpage to order one, which then also told me it was unable to order one Can I get this resolved ? I have a V6 box and received the remote to upgrade to 360. The problem is that the new software was installed but is now stuck on the video about the Remote and use of 360. The remote won't work on the screen or to switch off the box. I can use the remote though to switch through sources and the TV button works. I have tried all the suggestion on this Forum for switching the box on and off at wall socket, and with On-Off switch coupled with the power and + and/or - button. The remote 360 is broken and no longer works. I tried to order a replacement online and keep getting "Sorry, there was an issue placing your order" The chat with us online button on the page doesn't work and it tells me to call 150. When I call 150 and select remote problems it tells me to go to the website and hangs up on me. Since the website doen't work I'm left in a loop of it telling me to go to 150 and then 150 telling me to go back to the website. ive only seen this community today and its clearly a very common problem please can anyone help?44Views0likes2CommentsCan't pair new RC with new v6 box
Hi all I had a replacement V6 box fitted yesterday,works fine ,and a new remote ,but using it last night I noticed the volume control wasn't working, I unpaired the remote and followed the instructions in the settings to pair the remote with the V6 it seemed successful giving me the message it had paired successfully,but the volume button still wasn't working,I've tried another twice this morning but still no luck . Just bought a new TCL C805 TV and have spent a good while trying to get my V6 remote to control the volume on my new TV. Even tried the 0999 code and then spent 10 minutes pressing the 'channel up' key every 2 seconds in the hope the TV would turn off but alas it didn't. Hi, my mother in law has dementia and keeps losing her remote. We don't know where she puts but we can't find them in her relatively small house. Is there a way to find lost 360 remotes? I know you could make the old remotes bleep by pressing buttons on the box but I don't think you can do that with a 360 remote? Hi, I have been offered the upgrade to TV 360, which I will initiate when I get back from holiday. My TV is a Samsung which comes with a universal remote. This currently works well controlling the TV and the TIVO box. I've read the existing posts in the forum in relation to using the Samsung universal remote to control the TV 360, but there does not seem to be a definitive answer. So if anyone out there has successfully used their Samsung remote and the TV 360, please could list the steps you used to set it up. Any help gratefully received. I recently ordered a replacment TIVO remote, but when it arrived, it looked more like a V6 remote (although the accompanying sticker directed me to the .../tivoremotehelp web page). Anyway, I can't get the new remote to talk to the TIVO box, making me think either it really is a V6 remote, or I need to do something special (the TIVO remote help page says it should connect to the box without any faffing). Before I start the tortuous route of trying to get through to Virgin Media, could I be missing something - e.g., is there some sort of pairing I should be trying?
