Handset - Not Thought Out Very Well!

When we switched over to Virgin 360 we received a new handset.

Compared to the previous handed we used this one isn't ergonomically designed very well; it's as if the person designing it never tried to use it.

I find that the (for instance) Mute button being on the bottom of the handset isn't very practical and causes complication in holding the handset to use the mute feature; the old handset was ergonomically designed so as to have the mute button where you could reach it comfortably.

Do you find the Virgin 360 handset awkward to use; I do.

  • I don't have problems with the 360 remote, if you really don't like it you could look at the oneforall remotes the URC7125 and URC1240 seem popular choices, they both are IR remotes so need direct line of sight.

If your TV has a smart remote you might be able to pair that to work with the 360. My LG remote is paired using Ziggo Mediabox Next, that's what the 360 is known as in the Netherlands.

  • Hey richard49, thank you for reaching out and we are so sorry to hear you are having some issues with your new 360 box.

This will be a big change compared to your old box and like anything with change it will take a few weeks to get use to this.

Please follow this link for some tips and advice on the 360 box  Cheers

    On our wavelength

I agree. Basically it is too small. If like me, you use, mainly your thumb (male), the numeral buttons are touching each other. This requires using the thumbNAIL, so the white markings disappear (1, 6, 0 and Mute in my case). This would make it difficult for visitors to use as the digits are not 'raised' (as in braille)  thus unmarked. The fast forward >> button is too close to the V channel-down button.
