Solved

doesn't bode well for future

I (allegedly) amsuppose to have my new install Virgin Media package installed tomorrow 14th Aug between 08.00-13.00.
Property supposed to have been prepared by today 13th Aug.
As we are now approaching 15.00hrs, I'm not holding my breath on this coming to fruition.
(any thoughts)
Just don't think it's a very promising start to this new contract but, we'll see how it pans out, as i'm not averse to cancelling and sticking to my old supplier.

  • Don’t worry. This is a big Virgin Media communication issue…or lack of it! Had exactly the same concern but all worked out on the activation day. It seems that Virgin stopped using external contractors a couple of weeks ago to do the external pre-installation work (which is what the app says you will be contacted about up to 2 weeks before) and now do it all themselves on the day. So in my case, on the due date of activation, two Virgin Media guys turned up, did some external work outside, drilled a hole in the wall for the fibre/cable, fitted a box outside then connected the Hub inside. Once connected the guy tested the speeds around the house and away they went.

Have you actually cancelled with your former provider (former does imply that you have)?
