Can’t access ntlworld email account
Hi, We’re having a problem with my mum’s account. She has had an ntlworld email address for over two decades and my parents are still virgin media customers, but my mum can no longer access her email account on her Google phone as it keeps asking ‘correct credentials needed - enter credentials for *******@ntlworld.com’ We have followed the whole process, try to put the details in on her phone and another error message pops up with ‘Problem with account setup - your username or password is incorrect’. We’ve gone into the Virgin media page online and entered another non-VM account for her to verify her ntlworld account through, then get ‘Your Virgin Media Mail account is currently unavailable’. Myself and my sister (a software developer) are stumped about how to help our mum! Around a month ago I was forced out of my blueyonder.co.uk account with no notice. I was asked to reset my email account address password via my VM account as I was unable to remember the previous password however my account seems to have been blocked from access. I am no further forward despite several chats with agents via WhatsApp and need help as all my important documents are on this account (mortgage, bank etc) and I’m not able to change the passwords on these due to having no access - I’m stuck in a frustrating (lack of) access cycle. Hi VM, Unable to access online account due to email address not being recognised but not convinced online access was ever created. Sign-In: Forgotten email or password route doesn’t work. Register Account: entered DOB, account and area info and a screen appears saying account info already exists and shows a partial @ntlworld.com email associated with it but this email is not familiar to us so the reset options are no good. Have spoken to call centre operator via 0345 454 1111 who confirms the billing email address is the one on account but spent 45mins going around in circles and I still cannot access it. Hi. I tried moving home back in August and set up a VM account but the house sale fell through, and after cancelling Virgin Media and setting it up again after I moved property back in October, my account number now links up to my old account when I try log in to my virgin media? new account number, old account deactivated. Everything for the new account is installed and working fine, but My Virgin Media is still showing my old account and I'm unable to change it over to my new one to see bills and such. This is very frustrating as I need to see my bill. The same email was used. I called up and was told to try with a different email, which I did, but all it says with a new email is that there is already an account set up but it only leads me to the old, deactivated account and I can't get it switched over to my new account. So I've fallen foul of the recent security changes and accessing my old NTLWorld email. I had access to it on my phone via generating an app password, however since signing out (via browser) I'm unable to get back in. Obviously there is the old....forgot password route but that just prompts you to enter the email you use to login to your virgin media account, which then only resets the password for the @virginmedia.com email address and not the NTLworld one. So at the moment I'm lost in a forever loop of doom trying to find a way in. Can't seemingly add or switch to my NTLworld account / email once logged into the virgin account and unable to change the password or set a new app password for the NTL account.
