Anyone on Gig1 Fibre still on DOCSIS 3.0 with a Hub 5?
Hey everyone, I’m on the Volt Gig1 Fibre package and using a Hub 5, which I thought would be running on DOCSIS 3.1 by default. But when I check my modem status, it looks like the downstream is still locked on SC-QAM, which I believe means it’s using DOCSIS 3.0 instead of 3.1. Just curious — is anyone else on Gig1 seeing the same thing? Or is your Hub 5 actually bonding to DOCSIS 3.1 (OFDM)? If you’ve managed to get 3.1 working properly, did you have to contact Virgin to push an update or reprovision your connection? Or did it just switch over automatically for you? Appreciate any insights. I’m just trying to make sure I’m getting the most out of the package and hardware. 😊 Thanks in advance!Is the rollout of 2 GPS happening?
Hey everyone, I've been on a 1Gbps connection with Virgin Media for a while now, and I'm curious if 2Gbps speeds will be available (or are currently rolling out) in Windsor and Maidenhead. I know that Virgin Media has been trialing multi-gigabit speeds in some areas, but I haven't seen much information regarding our region. Additionally, does anyone know if XGS-PON is being deployed here? I would love to find out if Virgin Media is upgrading the network to support even faster speeds. I was told that the broadband installation pull was supposed to happen yesterday, but so far, nothing has been done. I've been trying to speak with someone in the UK after multiple attempts, but all I've been connected with is customer service in India. While I appreciate their efforts, I feel that the service has not met the standard I'm used to receiving here in the UK. I requested a move last week and have been waiting patiently for updates over the past few days. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get clear answers or support.
