Apps Won't Stay Logged In
Hey, My 360 box will not save any login credentials for apps like ITVX, BBC iPlayer etc... my elderly dad loves watching things on these apps, particularly ITVX, and now that he can't he finds it very frustrating as do I. I have tried various ways to resolve this including: Turning the box off at the wall waiting at least 30 seconds and then turning it back on again. Turning the box off at the back, pressing the minus and plus keys separately and both together whilst turning the box back on again. Trying a factory reset. The box is never switched off or left on standby either, so this is not the issue. When I try the minus and plus keys methods then a download arrow icon is displayed and it appears to be downloading an update but with no installation bar at the bottom. When I try a factory reset the same arrow is displayed but this time an installation bar appears with a message to wait for installation to finish. However when the box finishes and I press the home button on the remote and I check settings it appears that no update firmware has been installed, it is always showing version 5.16. Regardless, nothing works and after signing into these apps it won't stay logged in for very long and I have to keep signing in all the time which I can't keep doing. I firmly believe that the box needs replacing or an engineer needs to come up and take a look for us to try and resolve the issue. Can someone please help me with this? Thank you.296Views0likes4CommentsAccount login issues (ntlworld email)
I'm going round the bend here!!! I'm unable to login to my VM account despite numerous attempts. We have a number of ntlworld email accounts and as I was unable to login via our usual ntlworld address I chose one of the others. After a password reset and also providing a 3rd party email address I was able to login ONCE. Next time I tried it didn't recognise the email address I'd just used. I've gone through this process quite a few times in the past 2 days and I'm getting pretty annoyed with it now. Whenever I put my ntlworld email address and password in the boxes it states "Your email or password was incorrect. Please try again or go back to change your email." I was wanting to watch the footie via my laptop yesterday but I couldn't because the SkySports Virgin Media sign in wasn't recognising me. Can anything be done to reset this please?Solved25Views0likes2CommentsSky sports app login
Hi I'm having issues logging into the sky sports app, I've been using the app for number of years now, but now I'm unable to log in. It asks me to sign in as a virgin media customer which I do but said my password is not recognised, (I've not changed it). When I select forgot password it takes me to a page to change it and when you press submit it just spinss on the VM logo and then freezes without signing me in. Can anyone help? I'm subscribed to sky sports and i can log into virgin tv go, so that's not an issue. Cheers DagzyhSolved153Views0likes7CommentsUnable to login to TV Control app
I have upgraded my phone today, and have been able to transfer set up access for almost all apps, including My Virgin Media and Virgin TV Go. However, every time I try to log in to TV Control, I get an error message. I am certain I am entering the correct username and password, as they are accepted both by the other two apps, and by the Virgin Media website. On occasion, I am asked to complete the captcha element. However, after this point, I always receive a screen titled 'Sign In Error', with the text 'General Error' and only the options to 'Try again' or 'Return to sign in'. I have tried clearing the app cache and user data, uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, but with no improvement - the issue continues in the same fashion even when reinstalled. Looking in this forum, I note that many others seem to be experiencing the same or similar issues. Why is TV Control not working when the other two apps are with the same log in details, and how can this issue be resolved?1KViews0likes9CommentsTrouble logging in to Hub 4 / Macbook Air connection
Hi We're having two related issues which I think need posting together. I'd be grateful for any help please. 1. We're having issues with a new Macbook Air having an extremely slow connection when connected to our Virgin broadband. It has an excellent connection everywhere away from home. It connects fine to WiFi at home (through our Hub 4), but the internet is so slow that pages regularly time out. We have tried turning off the Macbook's firewall and various other network settings, and ensured there are no VPNs etc. 2. As part of troubleshooting, I want to connect to the Hub 4 and check if any settings are enabled which might be conflicting with the Macbook. When I log in via 192.168.0.1 it takes me to the sign in page. However, when I enter my password, it times out before loading the settings page. This happens whether I'm connecting via WiFi or through an ethernet cable, and whether it's through a phone, the Macbook or a different laptop. I know the password is correct: it is the default password for the Hub 4, and if I try any other password it tells me I've entered the wrong password. When I enter the correct password, it starts to load but simply times out with a blank white page. I've tried resetting the Hub 4 more than once using the reset button on the back, and also tried switching it off and leaving it unplugged for a while before restarting. The Hub 4's light is a solid white. The internet connection to other devices is usually fine, although we have been having some intermittent issues where the internet connection (but not the WiFi) drops for periods of time. Several of these should be logged on my account as I've run the online tests. Thanks for any help, and please let me know if you need further information.
