Cannot change email on ID
Hi all I made the mistake of linking my Virign and O2 accounts and now that is coming home to roost. My Virgin account uses an at virginmedia.com email address and although I have managed to add a new email account as the ID, I can't verify the email, the system keeps saying, sorry, can't verify that email address right now. I don't know what the real problem is but I suspect it isn't the validation system being down as I can validate backup emails. Anyway, does anyone know who I can contact to resolve this as my old virgin email is making it impossible to do anything on O2, when validating they are using the primary email to send contracts to and I don't have access to that. A pictute is better than any text so here we go, anyone know who I can contact to get this fixed, I just want to verify the email, I tried the chat but that was less than useless and they just gave me a dodgy number to call21Views0likes0CommentsManaging multiple @blueyonder.co.uk accounts
I have an active Virgin Media account (I'm a broadband customer), and for years have had four @blueyonder.co.uk email addresses used by myself and three other family members associated with that account. All four accounts are regularly used. After the transition to VMO2, I've linked my new VMO2 ID to my Virgin Media account. I'm able to manage my (the primary) @blueyonder.co.uk email account app password through https://www.virginmediao2.co.uk/identity/id-settings/my-accounts using ID Settings->Virgin Media Account->Manage email app password. However, I can't see any way to manage the @blueyonder.co.uk email accounts used by my other family members (e.g. to change the app password). Some of those family members have their own VMO2 IDs (because they're O2 mobile customers), but unless I'm wrong it doesn't seem possible to link those IDs to the single common household Virgin Media account which I manage, and hence there seems no way for those members to manage their own @blueyonder.co.uk app password. Help! Surely there must be a way to do this.18Views0likes0CommentsCan’t enter a “valid” email address on sign in
When I try to sign in to my Virgin Media account with my email address I get an error message saying, “Please enter a valid email address”. If I use the “Forgot your email address” tool then the email address it displays is the one that you’re telling me isn’t valid! So now I can’t access my account. What am I supposed to do? PS. Can’t search for tags on Safari mobile, and Safari desktop displays the message, “Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access url”, which is why I’m using mobile. Is anybody at VM actually checking that these things actually work?Solved1.4KViews0likes68CommentsFather with Dementia
Hi. I'm trying to change my father's email address and Password to a new one we can use to manage his account going forward as he has Dementia. When I arrive at the 'link accounts' screen to Register for online services so we can manage his Virgin Media, it finally shows his old (over 10 years old) Blueyonder email address which A. We can't access and B. We don't know his password for. So we can't then change ANYTHING on his account. ALL we want to do is - Set up a new password and email address on his Virgin account. Delete his old email address completely. Register his account online so we can amend his package (what's insane is we want to probably ADD to it, and Virgin are making it almost impossible). Can someone PLEASE help us, as we have tried online and the customer service is appalling, they said 'we've changed the email address' twice now and it's STILL coming up with his old Blueyonder email he must have used years ago to sign up. We are pretty desperate trying to sort things for him and dealing with Virgin is beyond difficult. How can I add all my blueyonder email accounts to My Virgin Media account? Currently, I have to sign in to My Virgin Media with a GMAIL email address? But only one of my blueyonder email accounts is shown on there. I have to log into https://mail.virginmedia.com/appsuite/ to collect another of my blueyonder email accounts messages. How can I add all 3 of my blueyonder email accounts either to My Virgin Media (where my bills are) or to https://mail.virginmedia.com/appsuite/ ?Solved102Views0likes6CommentsStill can't change manage my account.
This is getting beyond a joke now. After, a recent problem where a VM agent regenerated my access code and I was hacked, also allowing the hacker to clone my phone. You would say that one of the first things to do is change your email password. BUT, since VM introduced this new VM02 ID system, when you try to manage your account - it crashes. It was suggested that I call VM and they can change the password - but it turns out that is only the VMO2 password they can change not your email password. Changing your password is a basic function so why is it so complicated to allow people to do it!!!!109Views0likes15CommentsSecondary email password reset
Like others I've lost webmail access a secondary email address from ntlworld days during the swap-to-notntl-then-swap-back gyrations. I've read other threads and know what I need to do - creating a new VMO2 account linking to the original email address - but it appears I have the wrong password recorded or the account has got locked out. The online pw reset won't work for me as I had no secret info set against the secondary account. Could someone from the mail team DM me please so we can get this reset and access restored? I still have pop3 access to the account so this should be pretty straightforward. Not urgent :) Thanks! Mike58Views0likes2CommentsWrong Email on Sign-Up
Hoping someone can help.. Used the wrong email address on sign-up & to order wifi box which is due to arrive today. But no confirmation email/tracking info worried the package may have been diverted without my knowledge if they tried delivering when no one was in. Please could someone advise. I joined Virgin Media for broadband in September but I have never recieved a welcome email or letter, nor have I received a bill. This means I do not have an account number so I cannot call customer services (since they require the account number to pass the security check). I have checked my junk email and all possible email addresses but I have recieved nothing. I do not have any emails from Virgin, but I do have my pre-contract documents via text message. How can I get an account number to access my bills/app/settings?
