How to access established (older) email accounts
Like many I needed to access my Virgin Media account to try and fix email issues. After being a customer for over 30 years I had multiple email accounts and now I am struggling to access and fix even 1 off them. When did the system change to the new VMO2 account and password login? Did I miss any information or has this just been very poorly communicated, or even communicated. How does this new system work, what needs to be done to access my Virgin Media account and old ntl world.com emails? I used to have a email linked to my account and from there I could see 5 ntlworld.com email addresses. Now I can’t see or manage anything on those email accounts. How do I add those addresses and change passwords? I try to set up a new VMO2 account but it goes around in circles and doesn’t complete, why? Do I need another non ntlworld email account to set up and access my Virgin Media account and emails? This seems crazy. When I even try to login or create accounts using some of my email addresses they are not recognised as if they don’t exist, yet my older iPad can still access and download messages? Some accounts just constantly give error messages regarding VPN, or access via another machine, error IDF-12B. How do I get around this when I’m trying to set up a new iPad for daily access? I don’t have any O2 accounts, only a Virgin Media account and products. Where are the instructions, how do I get help to fix my accounts and access? Does anybody have definite working instructions.51Views0likes1CommentManaging multiple @blueyonder.co.uk accounts
I have an active Virgin Media account (I'm a broadband customer), and for years have had four @blueyonder.co.uk email addresses used by myself and three other family members associated with that account. All four accounts are regularly used. After the transition to VMO2, I've linked my new VMO2 ID to my Virgin Media account. I'm able to manage my (the primary) @blueyonder.co.uk email account app password through https://www.virginmediao2.co.uk/identity/id-settings/my-accounts using ID Settings->Virgin Media Account->Manage email app password. However, I can't see any way to manage the @blueyonder.co.uk email accounts used by my other family members (e.g. to change the app password). Some of those family members have their own VMO2 IDs (because they're O2 mobile customers), but unless I'm wrong it doesn't seem possible to link those IDs to the single common household Virgin Media account which I manage, and hence there seems no way for those members to manage their own @blueyonder.co.uk app password. Help! Surely there must be a way to do this.47Views0likes3CommentsEmails and VPN
My VM e-mails recently stopped working when I have my VPN enabled. My other e-mails accounts (Yahoo, iCloud, etc.) work fine with VPN. After a 20 minute call to VM Customer Support, I have now been informed that VM e-mail does not support VPN connections! I'm pretty sure that they mean "no longer supports VPN connections". Hopefully, this facility will be restored soon.45Views0likes3CommentsHelp! How to access account settings for secondary email address
We have two 'ntlworld.com' email addresses that have always in the past been linked to our Virgin broadband/TV/phone account (that is still active) - one I use, one my wife uses. When I log in with the new Virgin/O2 ID, my ntlworld email is linked to the account and I can access my inbox in a browser (the webmail), and I can see ways to manage that email address (e.g. generate app passwords). However, my wife's ntlworld email is now not linked to my VMO2 ID and I can't see a way to add it. My wife has registered for a Virgin/O2 ID using the 3rd party email address that she used to login with but there seems to be no way to link that to her ntlworld account through the options in the Virgin/O2 ID settings. The only option I can see is to transfer the VMO2 ID link from our broadband account to her VMO2 ID which would then mean I have the problem she currently has but on my ntlworld.com email address! Is there a way that Virgin staff can link two ntlworld.com accounts to one Virgin broadband/TV/phone account? I have seen a few posts on here that seem to suggest people are still able to get e.g. app passwords for secondary accounts, but no clues as to how to access those settings. (BTW: access to the secondary email inbox via Apple Mail and iPhone mail app is currently working, but my big concern is what if something goes wrong - we currently have no way of generating a new app password for that secondary email!) Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I tried the VM chat but the support staff seemed to not be able to understand what I was trying to ask.Solved72Views0likes9CommentsDelete vm email addresses after account closure

My Ntlworld email stopped arriving. At the same time my wife's email stopped. Both said that the passwords were invalid. We changed our passwords - my wife had to move to a VMo2 ID. We generated APP passwords and put them in - no change. I rang help desk in India - they said that the problem is that they do not support NTLWORLD addresses any more. I said that was amazing and asked for it to be escalated. The assistant arranged for me to to be called by his supervisor the following day (Sunday) at 9 to 9:30. Then I noticed on my Macbook i had a different message - Temporary blacklisted IP Address. I checked on this forum and found that I could access my mail by using my iPhone as a hotspot and it worked. I could also access the email via the browser. No supervisor rang between 9 and 9:30, so I rang at 10, to find it hasn't been escalated. I was asked to clear browser cache/ reboot the router etc. etc. I then asked to be escalated to their supervisor, who again said they could not help as support has been dropped for NTLWORLD Addresses. He said they had been told that the domain had been turned off and this means that no emails will get through any more. I filled in a security report and forwarded it to the VM security team. I want to know what the "suspicious activity" was and asked that they lift the blacklist. This is the third time this has happened admittedly the last time was two years ago, when my solicitor sent me a message that was encrypted internally.66Views0likes3CommentsCreating an app password for a secondary account.
Hello, I have a blueyonder email address and want to set it up on my new phone on the Outlook app. I cannot see a way of accessing the app password with the new O2 sign in system. My account is a secondary account - my father is the main account holder. I can log into "my virgin media" on my laptop. I click account settings, then virgin media mail settings. This takes me through to my Virgin Media O2 ID settings. When I click manage linked accounts, there is no option to change my app password, instead, it only says "add your virgin media account". If I go through this process, it attempts to transfer the main account to me, rather than adding my secondary account. If we log into the main account, it only lets you change the app password of the main email address, rather than any of the secondary email addresses. Any assistance would be gratefully received!192Views1like3CommentsChange log in email address - how do I do i?
