No sound on iPlayer on V360
I just updated to Virgin 369 today, and have logged into all the apps I use (Netflix, Disney +, Prime, iPlayer). All are working fine except iPlayer which has no sound. I’m using my TV’s native sound output, no sound d bar or external speakers etc. Connected via HDMI, exactly as was prior to update (when iPlayer had sound)… Whats changed after update and how can I get sound on iPlayer?49Views0likes2CommentsMy 360 box keeps losing my recordings and app log-ins
I've recently been moved over to 360 TV, but noticed that the box keeps losing my recordings. That's frustrating enough, but it also loses any sign-in details to the Apps I'm using, so I have to keep signing back in. I've had no end of issues with VM TV and broadband over the last year or so, and was on the verge of ditching VM until the broadband issue was resolved. I've seen a few discussions similar to this issue, but some have just tailed off and others look like they may have switched to DM - I've not seen it be successfully resolved, but hoping there is a magic cure somewhere. Last year we 'upgraded' our virgin TV V6 box to the 360 thing, and had our upstairs multiroom box changed to one of the slimmer box versions, I think people call it the 'slave' box. This second box is almost unusable when it comes to recordings. It is constantly buffering every 10-15 seconds, often tells me the system is too busy etc. I've run WiFi speed checks via the connect app, all OK. I have a firestick up here using the same connections, all OK. The apps on the same box all work OK! The only element that has an issue with the WiFi capacity is the recording. Oh, and the virgin TV Go app which is just as poor and flaky as the second box and also constantly claims there are issues with the WiFi. It seems like this is just shoddy products? We have no ethernet cable running up to the bedroom, and I'm slightly loathe to run a cable all the way up. But it seems like this 'upgrade' is actually rubbish and a poorer service. Hello! We recently upgraded our V6 TiVo to the new 360 software. Relatively impressed with it, but have an annoying issue. At night, we turn our TV off & place the box into standby (red light). In the morning, there is no light on the box at all. When switching on the box either via the remote or the button on the box, usually it all springs to life & the box works normally - but there is no white light. Only switching the box off from the mains then back on cures this. Surely, when switching on the light should return? I've checked the settings and changed standby timer to 24 hours, but this still happens. Any suggestions?173Views0likes5CommentsFrustrated new customer. Error CS2200 now!
I had broadband & TV installed on 30th June, broadband signal failed 30 minutes after the installer left and I had to wait for engineer to come back the following day, the fibre was kinked and a new one had to then be installed to the DP. I had ordered a 360 box but the installers order was for a stream box, spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get that sorted to be told to call back on Monday. Called back Monday and a 360 box was sent and arrived on Tuesday, I self installed and all was going well, I set up some recordings for Tuesday evening and when I go to play them I get Error CS2200 "failed to play recording" on 3 of the 4 programs. done the reboots as per virgins help pages but this hasn't made any difference. any advice about this playback issue? So I will be calling virgin again tomorrow to waste more time getting this resolved. Tbh I'm getting sick of this experience, I've still got my sky box and haven't yet cancelled my previous broadband, still got time to cancel this mare.Solved108Views0likes3CommentsMythbusters Ch251 Keeps Hanging
I have an issue with on demand channel 251 which is Mythbusters. This issue has only started recently in the last few months The issue is not the programme stream which itself is fine. Solid picture and sound. However the issue is when when the stream cuts to the end of an episode or the adverts/break, everything freezes and it doesn’t return. Sometimes it’s a blank screen (when going to adverts or break) or the last image from the programme (copyright etc) and then after a while the screen goes blank. If I immediately return to normal TV and then immediately select 251 again the stream starts (in the adverts or break usually if the programme hasn’t restarted) and is then fine again until the next advert/break or programme end, when it hangs again. All other on demand channels are unaffected when going to breaks or adverts etc such as Ch253 Eggheads. I’ve tried restarting my TV360 box but that makes no difference. It’s connected to my TPlink Deco mesh router via Ethernet and the Virgin V3 box is in modem only mode. All other internet access, streaming etc is fine and I’m on the 250 package. I have been unable to watch sky plus on the VM Platform. I have contacted Virgin Media and spoken to someone in the technical dept, they are investigating it. They told me to switch off the TV360 box. Then they booked a Technician to come to my house on 4 Feb. Subsequently I was called to say the appointment for the technician to attend had been cancelled. The title says it all really - I upgraded my V6 box to TV360 on Tuesday, where it crashed a couple of times, and now when powering up the box from standby using the new remote, the Samsung TV will crash a few times before finally staying on. I just reconstructed myself online for broadband and TV, with an upgrade of my broadband speed to Gig1 for an excellent price. I have all the contract documents etc. However, I was unable to remove TNT sports which is £18 a month and I don’t use (contract information stipulates 30 day monthly rolling so I figured I could remove any time). Calling them is useless. Last time I recontracted online and wanted to make an adjustment they cancelled the whole thing and it took many phone calls and much frustration to get the original online deal price back.
