Is there anyway I can stop the tv guide banner appear on the bottom of the screen ?
It should go off automatically after about 30 seconds, it's only there to tell you what's on, are you saying it doesn't go off or you just don't need to know what channel you are watching when first turning the TV on. The answer is no you can't disable the guide showing along the bottom of the screen, it does it every time you change channel.
If you mean what I think you mean the guide should only appear if you press the OK button if you are watching something, just press the back button ↩️ and it will go off.
