I am having the same issue. I was on 500mbps before, and used to get around 450mbps. I cancelled my contract and just before my Sky install I was offered 1000mbps to stay with Virgin... I stayed and got the new hub... but I am still getting only around 200-450mpbs. Its as if the new speeds have not been activated as its literally no different and was the only reason I stayed and didn't just move to Sky and have cheaper 500mpbs with them. Lucky I am in my 14 days still so I might just cancel and still move to Sky anyway if its not resolved.

I had no issues when on 600mb using a Hub3. Upgraded to gig1 and was sent a Hub 4 and speed and connection was awful.
Engineer visit was arranged for me even though logs showed no issues. Engineer carried out all checks at cabinet and hub and basically told me that the Hub 4 is not fit for purpose.
Finally managed to get a Hub 5 around two months ago and have had no issues what so ever with connection or speed.

Finally at friday engineer visit was arranged for me even though logs showed no issues. Engineer carried out all checks at cabinet and hub and when he find literally no issues, he offer for me just a change my Hub 4 to Hub 5 but he told me that one probably do not fix my problem.
Hub 5 literally fix all my problems and now I have no issues with ethernet speed. Finally I can use full speed on 1 Gb. Thank you !

Exactly what happened with mine. Glad to see that the hub5 upgrade got it sorted for you in the end.

Hub 5 has been faultless. No need to use third party router. Speed and coverage is great

Hi I am Having the same problem as the others I originally got a hub 5 when i upgraded my package,The hub did not activate so a engineer came out and only had a hub 4 so I agreed to that, but the speeds I am getting are less than my old package.I would be grateful for any help or a new hub5 that seems to have solved the problem for other people.

Hi wmcg,
Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, really sorry to hear you are not seeing the benefit of upgrading to our 1gb service as you are getting less than previously, what speed is showing to be hitting your Router when you do a speed test here.
Regards
Paul.

I'm experiencing the same issue - 1Gb service with Hub4 and I get 1144mbps into router and 383mbps into device (MSI laptop with killer ethernet port connected with brand new CAT7 ethernet cable).
Sounds like the Hub5 fixed the issue. I've been told they're out of stock and to await an email but I have no indication of if and when they will become available. I may just have to push it through a new ASUS WIFI6 router.
