virgin.net down since July, active customer

So what is the current status without any b/s about pretending it is a user error ?

Is there a policy or plan in action ?  Or an indication of what the actual issue is which affected so many other customers since July ?

    So to exactly clarify:- No I can not sign into my emails through My Virgin Media with a third-party email address...

    Thanks Tom, but please note that I was asked two questions here by John when the answers were sitting in my post title of just six words.  You have now suggested that I log in form a third party when I clearly said in my last post "I sign in with Gmail on the desktop to my Virgin account".  Can you see why this looks like gas lighting to me ?

    I can supply you with my complaint number and there is nothing I would like more than to close it.  I can also supply the full transcript with the officail Virgin reps on FB who themselves admit there is a problem and that many people are in the same situation.

    I can make a deal with Virgin.  I can amicably come down to your office, you log in for me and give me an hour os so to tidy up the account and oull off vital info, then I will wait for a permanent solution however long it takes.

    Once again -the situation is a virgin.net legacy account being signed in from a third party Gmail account for a current costomer dating back years...

    Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community.

    There's no overall email issues at all currently. Can you please advise what you're needing assistance with? If it's email access, can you confirm are you an existing customer and the email we're discussing, is on the active account? If so, is this via Webmail, third party client or both?

      John, I really do appreciate you coming back to me but that is absolutely not true about currently no email issues, and my header confirmed I was an active customer (and have been for many years).  Many people were in this situation since July and it is not a user error on my part.

      I sign in with Gmail on the desktop to my Virgin account and the email box should take me to a virgin.net Inbox but the link is dead.  This is multiple machines and browsers.  Virgin Support say they can see my email address at their end and one guy, Samuel, said he would get his contact in IT to fix it but nothing happened.  I filed a complaint number about this in progress since 12th August which they have not resolved.

      There is no option to create an app password to try Thunderbird or anything like that.  The email part of my account just doesn't connect to to my email Inbox.

      If you are confident there genuinely are no issues and can help at all I would be extremely grateful to you.

        Hi Sid_M thanks for your reply.

        We must reiterate that there are no direct issues with email, if this is related to the single sign-in issue then this is fixable by logging into your My Virgin Media account with a third-party email address, and see if you can access your virgin.net email through there.

        Firstly do try this and let us know if you can access your emails through My Virgin Media before we can proceed further.
