First wifi pod has not given my house full coverage (Gig1 package)

I have just moved into a new house which has struggled for connection throughout the house. We had a wifi pod delivered which has partially improved the issue but there are still areas of the house with little to no connection. I did the wifi speed tests on the Connect App but don't have the option to order additional pods. I read we need to have had the first pod for a certain amount of time for this option?

Considering there are still areas of the house with zero connection I think this matter is fairly urgent but I can't seem to find any urgent remedies. I was told that this package (Gig1) means I am eligible for more pods so I don't know why their is no option to order them.

Very disappointed with the VM experience so far, starting to wish I considered BT.

VM only guarantees 30Mb over WiFi and if you can’t get this in every room with 3 pods then I believe it’s a £100 one off payment.

  • After scrolling this site a bit I came across this post which summarised a lot of the same issues. I just want to order an additional pod which I am eligible for as quickly as possible

      Hi HarrisAshton,

You need to wait 7 days from installation of your first WiFi Pod before you can order your second WiFi Pod by signing into My Virgin Media

The info below is from https:///wifi-max-from-24-april-2025.pdf

      Section 5(g)

If you have received your first WiFi Pod and once you have set it up you are still not receiving download speeds of at least 30Mbps in every room, you can request a second WiFi Pod by
signing into My Virgin Media, clicking on Your Package and following the steps in the WiFi Max tab. Alternatively, you can get in touch through one of our accessible contact options (see  https://www.virginmedia.com/help/accessibility ) Our agents will run further tests to ascertain whether you need an additional WiFi Pod.

And if you need a third WiFi Pod then you need to wait a further 7 days

      Section 5(h)

If you have received your second WiFi Pod and once you have set it up you are still not receiving download speeds of at least 30Mbps in every room, you can request a third WiFi Pod by signing into My Virgin Media, clicking on Your Package and following the steps in the WiFi Max tab. Alternatively, you can get in touch through one of our accessible contact options (see
https://www.virginmedia.com/help/accessibility). Our agents will run some further tests to ascertain whether you need a third (and final) WiFi Pod

Why is the process to wait 7 days? I have no connection at all in one of the rooms. No amount of testing or waiting is going to change that. There should be an option to speed things up when its obvious additional pods are needed...

The "tests" which the agents run will be no use if there is no wifi connection. 7 days mandatory wait is just ridiculous and is delaying an issue which can be resolved sooner
