Hey all,I posted this on the end of another thread but have had no response from VM so wondering if any of the community have opinions on this. Copied from my post:"I moved to a new flat with Gig1 and the flat has VM ports in 3 rooms. Looks like the other ports are fed by coax from the master port, I guess they were used for VM TV by the previous tenant. I have plugged in the cable feeding the bedroom port from the master port, and plugged the router in to the port in the bedroom, it works in terms of speed (the upload seems to struggle to get above 85Mb though), but I keep seeing random packet loss and noise on the BQM, especially when running speed tests.Would you mind taking a look at my config to see if using this secondary port in the bedroom is OK? I haven't actually moved in fully to the flat yet so haven't been able to properly test it with online games or anything like that."I am not even at the flat and seeing packet loss on the BQM: Is this normal? To see this when the connection is not even being used? It seems to always coincide with a spike in latency. Your upstream power levels are out of spec, and it appears you are in an area that does not currently support DOCSIS 3.1 upstream, so 6 3.0 channels are being used instead, which should still be sufficient for 104Mbps.You also have a SNR issue on a couple of downstream channels.Engineer visit required.

None of the coax connections can be left open. Either fit a termination connector on the far end, or remove it from the splitter.

Seeing 85 Mb/s on the upstream is what happens when there are only 4x 3.0 Upstream channels.Could it be of the 6x 3.0 Upstream channels that are connected, only 4 are bonded ?

Coming from upload in the high 90s I am now down to 35-40 and frankly I would be overjoyed if I had your upload speed.
Virgin Media are altering the upload speed. Pray they don't alter it any further.

As is often seen on this forum, your US levels are not right compared to the DS. Most likely you cable outlets are fed from an RFoG ONU where the fibre enters the house. It could also be mis-alignment in the HFC network.
Keep reporting to VM, and try to escalate to network engineering.

I had assumed this was an RFoG connection due to the lack of a 3.1 Upstream channel.

If you are on an HFC, be sure to point out the lack of a 3.1 Upstream channel to the engineer.

So...engineer came today and said that at the cabinet I was connected to a very old line that was feeding in to multiple splitters in to the flats where I live. So he has moved me on to a new spare slot in the cabinet and directly connected me without the splitters and then fitted an attenuator. He also directly connected the port I am using to the cable outside and moved the isolator in to the socket that is actively being used, so I now have a direct connection from outside in to the socket I use for the modem. This seems to have solved the noise issue on the downstream and the power levels (downstream power seems to be just in spec)

However, I still have no 3.1 upstream channel, and am still seeing T3 timeouts on the upload. Could somebody please give these stats a once over? I will see how it fares in terms of any packet loss or drop outs over time, but for now the speeds are fine and the latency is as expected. The engineer said that after some time, the 3.1 channel should appear but I am not so sure that will be the case. Also just to confirm, it is an HFC connection.

  Now getting around 100Mb on the upload which is fine, but yeah no 3.1 upstream which the engineer admitted is not normal...but said that it should show up after the connection has settled (not sure it will though)
