If you were to leave and then re-join a month later, you would not be eligible for a new customer deals and would be offered the deals that would be available to you as an existing customer in April.

I renewed for £46 per month on gig1 with a hub5 upgrade after speaking to the renewals team and tech team.
Then I revived an email saying "Your new monthly bundle cost is: £90.99*. Your next bill will be £147.47* which includes £56.48 to cover your changes up until your next bill period."
So that's pretty worrying 🙄

On this point, you wouldn't necessarily need to. Your contract doesn't "end", it just reaches the end of a minimum term and becomes a rolling 30day notice one.
So once you're outside of the minimum term, you'll be paying the undiscounted price but can give notice anytime.
