I don't want to renew my contract 1 month before the rpi rise. Can I leave and come back in April?

My 1gig contract expires at the end of Feb, and at the end of March there will be a big price rise. I can deal without Internet for a time if needed.  It doesn't feel okay for me to pay 1 month of t...

On this point, you wouldn't necessarily need to. Your contract doesn't "end", it just reaches the end of a minimum term and becomes a rolling 30day notice one.

So once you're outside of the minimum term, you'll be paying the undiscounted price but can give notice anytime.
